Hey.. This is a very good Belgian beer.. click enter..click English.. click kasteelbier..it's 11% alcohol.. click on the bottle as well.. will get you high http://www.vanhonsebrouck.be/
No way! I love Kasteel, but I can never find it in Canada anymore. It was my drink of choice last year. Right now I don't have a beer of choice, but if Kasteel was available... I'd be drunk right now.
Kasteel actually makes a couple different beers if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, it's pretty good, but not one of the best Belgians, IMO. I remember buying a big corked bottle of it many months ago and enjoying it quite a bit.
Guinness...hands down. Best beer ever. Coming in a close second is our homemade Corona (^ of 10%) but goes down like water...sooooooo good.
I'm a beer lover.... an enormous beer lover! I have many favorites including Newcastle, Hoegaarden, Bellevue Kreik, Leffe, Cheval Blanc... I love wheat beer, red ales and scotch ales. Cream ales are nice too... like Boddingtons. If I'm penny pinching and just want a good local, decently-priced beer, I go for Bleue Dry.
Kasteel means literally Castle and bier means beer. So Kasteelbier means Castlebeer. I hope this helps our English-speaking posters.
my favorite beer is the beer i brew myself ...blond beer ....kicks in at about 7.2 % ........when i make it i usually make up to 500 bottles at a time ...keeps me in beer for well over a year ....i have kept some for over 2 years and it's just as good as the first ones ....outside of that i drink bleue dry too
I have a few favorites: Domestic: Leinenkugal Honey Weiss & Michelob Imports: Hacker Pschorr (Germany) Birra Moretti (Italy) Newcastle Brown (England)
Weissdorn do you know what kind of pilsner is radeberger is it weisbier? or something like that in the summer i will again travel to holland and germany to test my wits against marvelous beers they have to offer. btw: if you ever go to finland avoid the horrible lager we get in here. hrr lager tastes like piss.
Lager always tastes like that - the Germans call it Dünnbier (thin beer). Radeberger is brewed according to Pilsner style (sub-fermented beer), made from barley. Weißbier is made from wheat and is a super-fermented beer. People who drink beer often, often have digestion problems with Weißbier, because of the amount of yeast in it. There are two kinds of Weißbier in Germany; Kristall (chrystal clear) and Hefe (yeast), as sort of muddy kind. If you don't specify Kristall you will get Hefe. I don't like Weißbier anymore because it somehow tastes like fermented Cornflakes. The Swabs drink Weißbier with banane juice and it tastes like cornflakes with bananes.
