You all know that I an ancestor ancestor ancestor in my practices, but recently i found out in addition to my proud Gaelic (royal) and Briton heritage, I am desceded from long lines of germanic and norse nobles as well.

My great x7 grandfather was (the) Daniel Boone, he is descended
of the Bouhn royalty of Ulster Scot origin, and his mother was
    of the Welsh Morgans.

Way back, there is a great grandmother named Lucy Fitzpiers.
She married William de Ros, of the Ross clan, son of Robert
de Ros and Isabel Huntington, the daughter of King William the Lion,
direct heir decendant of Kenneth MacAlpine (there was Mcbeth that
jumped into the line, but he got offed by my great X lots grandfather).
That is not my only line of MacAlpine blood either. I am decended from
the grandson of Constantine I his grandson (or great) and a few other
of his children or grandchildren, all on different lines.

So i have proud Dalriadan kingship in my blood, matrilineal Pictish
royalty (Kenneths mother was pict, and his wife was a pictish queen)
and through grandma Fitzpiers i have split connections to Norse royalty
by way of Bedrig of Scaelif King of the Orkneys, Olaf the White king of
Ireland, his wife Aud Deep Minded Ketilsdatter, and their son Thorstein the Red, king of Ireland.

But what surprised me most was her lineage down into Gaulish nobles, and the marriage into the Ostrogoth bloodline. I am descended from Theodimier Chieftan of the Ostrogoths, and his fathers line of kings for several generations back. By way of his daughter i have Ostrogoth blood, and his son Theoderic king of italy is my great x lots grandfather through a Visigoth connection.

And last, i was surprised with Cynric, grandson of Cerdic, kings of Wessex.
Direct lineage here as well, by way of granny fitzpiers.

Cerdic was the big bad saxon on the new King Arthur movie just so ya know.

But now i am faced with the expansion of my worship, to these proud Teutonic lines, and it will be new for me. Something I have always wanted,
but never felt the right to do so. But now, not only am I of the right line, I am of the noble line.

I have to worship these gods as well, and expand my indo-european worldview to include the more northern parts.

I have to, because more than one of my ancestors claims direct decent
    of Odin and Frigg.

    That's awesome :)

Really should do some proper research like that into my own heritage. It is so facinating.

    LOL :)

True enough I guess, if you look into it far enough we're probably all related somehow.
Wouldn't really know where to start with researching though, any suggestions? (international and/or that don't cost anything much)

Totally agree with your signature quote, the Gaelic* is beautiful.

*just curious, which specific language is it?

    Heron,
That's awesome! I'm trying to find more specifics about my lineage, but it's difficult getting started, as my immediate family hasn't kept very complete records.
Congrats on your search results, and glad to hear of the kinship we share.
