Hash - need recommendations and some tips

i need some recommendations of what shops and what kinds to try.

also some tips on how best to smoke it.

i know the good shops, i just wanted to know some strains that people have smoked lately that are good.

my first trip in 2002 during the Cup (but stayed for 2 months) we smoked ALOT of weed and about 1/2 of it was absolute shit. I was smoking 2 joints in a row (pure) just to get high of some of that shit.

I want to try some more hash this time (w/o being high already) and I want to make sure I get some good gear.

What kinds you should try?
Polm Royale (One of the strongest that's available in my area, but there are so many shops )
Super Polm
Red Libanon
Yellow Libanon

i tried that during the 2002 cup, it was 30 a gram though (had a conversation with the dealer and he said it takes a kilo of weed for them to make an oz).

wasn't very good actually... smoked the whole gram by myself in one bowl.

same with the Grey Mist crystals, didn't get very high.

whats fucked up is that Im from Texas and only smoke schwagg (i do get really good schwagg though), I was actually worried I was going to get too high on my first trip - sometimes my heart goes wacky when I smoke dank shit.

 

There are plenty of strain recommendations in that thread too. Not all of the MOST recent super strains but still very recent. as for your first trip, I can understand. My problem with most of the weed in amsterdam is that it is either not properly dried or not properly cured or both! As for potency, considering you stated you smoke garbage weed normally.......... I'd say the dutch stuff was probably SO STRONG that ur tolerance got JACKED UP which made everything seem weaker. Or you really don't know what to look for when shopping and consistantly got ripped off..........

 

so what do You look for when shopping?

 

in order of importance to me: fully developed calyxs, a bud that isn't wet but isn't bone dry (it should be like a stiff sponge) overall resin content, flavor / odor


id rather smoke some no name skunk grown to its full potential than some name brand stuff grown poorly.....

 

i spent about 10 mins and I couldn't find any picture examples of what a calyxs is.

do you have a pic you can show me?

I'd like to know what to look for in that regard.

yes and yes......

if each calyx is a swollen "blown out" green pea sized ball then your in good shape. ultimately a nice nug will appear to be "made" out of an assemblage of fully developed calyx's!

 

If you want some nice hash, go to Pink Floyd and get some ummagumma. If you want to get totally wasted and hammered entirely, go to London - - find a pub and drink 'till you drop.

 

Just got back last week. The dutch moonshine from dampkring was remarkable. As far as weed, Barneys-sweet tooth and morning glory. Personally the best weed I smoked by far was Early Pearl from Basjoes.
