Ok, so my dog decided he would pee on my brand new [expensive] mattress and I'm talkin a BIGGGG pee ~he saturated it. Anyone have any tips on getting the smell out?. I used a hand shampooer on it for about an hour, then i sprayed it with bleach/water. I occasionally still get a whiff of it now and then. Is it vinegar that neutralizes the amonia smell. I don't want to smell like a pickle any more than I want to smell piss.... ughhhhh.. I'm so mad..help!

Vingar should neutralise the pee smell,... Im sorry your doggy peed on your bed that must be pretty icky... I have this matress cover that the guy sold me when I bought my new matress a few monthsago... anyway the matress pad/cover prevents anything my cats do on my bed from getting on to the matress and you can just through the pad in the washer... If you want to know waht kind it is I can check for you. Good luck!

    • 1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
    • 1/4 cup Baking Soda
    • few drops of liquid soap
Mix in a bucket (it will fizz) and apply to the area. the mix will remove all those nasty organic smells....
