Hey all, I have some questions, and I really need some answers before Wednesday!! I quit smoking months ago (although I fell off the wagon once last month), but I hung out with some people who were smoking it up last night, and I have a job interview on Wednesday. I'm sure there will be drug testing involved, and I'm wondering what my chances of getting "busted" will be. Is one night of other people's fun going to ruin my chances? Is a possible contact high enough to show up on a normal urine test? (I understand everything from everytime in the past shows up on a follicle test?) I really don't care to smoke anymore, I don't want to potentially lose this job over something that is now in my past... I need to know if there is something I should be doing to make sure I show up clean and spiffy, if you catch my drift. Thanks so much!
They are unlikely to do a follicle test unless you applying to be an airline pilot or a secret agent. Last smoke a month ago. Last night in a smoke filled room. Interview two days from now. I wouldn't worry. Just stay out of smoke filled rooms.
What kind of setting were they smoking in? If you were in a totallly fogged out room, then yea there is a slight chance you will turn up positive for THC. There was just a new study released however though that says chronic marijuana users can only be detected in piss for up to two weeks, and occasional users 3-7 days (or something along those lines.) There's tons of people out there who can attest that it stays in longer, but it was a fairly respectable study so who knows. (I'll post link if anyone requests it, dont feel like looking again now.) Just to be on the safe side, I'd try to get in some extra exercise/water. Day of the test you should wake up earlier than normal and try to piss a few times before you take the test. THC is in it's highest concentration in the first piss of the day, and slightly less after that. Some Vitamin B-12 the day before the test can help your piss stay yellow if your pissing alot (they can fail you for your piss being too clear) I'm not sure, but I think the follicle tests only detect up to like a year or so, but they are pretty damn expencive to have done , and like MikeE said, there's very little chance they'll do a follicle test unless your applying to the NSA or some shit.
