Hey there. There are several resources available on the web for you. The most useful that I have found as far as a how to is a book called Patchwork Expressions by Elise Clark. It is available on her website and sometimes she puts a copy up on ebay. There are step by step instruction about creating basic patchwork clothing. She also has a pattern section in the back of the book that you can copy and past together. Sizes small through x-large. If you are looking to make pants there is a great tutorial here: http://www.angelfire.com/stars2/SunshinesCreations/clothingdemo.html I found this site useful when looking for patterns for patches: http://www.quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore.html All you have to do for those is increase the seam allowance from 1/4 inches to whatever you want to use. I do 1/2 inch to 5/8 inches. If you are interested in doing applique I cannot praise this book enough: Mastering Machine Applique by Harriet Hargrave It takes you through the three most popular ways to applique. Just remember to use a stitch and tear interfacing behide the bace fabric to avoid puckers. Harriet forgets to mention that in the book, but other than that it is a great book to have. There is a neat pattern for crazy quilt that you can modify to suit you purposes here: http://www.nmia.com/~mgdesign/qor/styles/crazy/crzayqlt.htm I am planning to make a pair of pants using these patterns. Simplicity and McCalls also have some great patterns for Bohemian hippie style tunics and babydoll shirts. They go on sale at Joanne's and Hancock's about once a month so you can usually pick up patterns for 99 cents. Most of them are pretty easy to sew and if you have questions about something you can ask here. In addition to the ladies on here, there is also a yahoo group called hippiesew. They are really good about answering any questions that you might have, and as an added bonus they are really nice. There are all kinds of links to online sewing resources in thier links page as well as some tutorials on clothing in the files section. Hope this wasn't too much info all at once, and that you found it helpful. Kate
