just for thrills i go into movie stores and look at all the movies. it kills me, i jsut adore film! all those movies, all those actors had to learn their lines, all the months and months of work, blood sweat and tears, make or break performances, people won oscars for these works, and here they are at my fingertips! i get chills down my back at blockbuster, SO MANY PIECES OF ART! doesnt it just kill you to be around movies?!
i used to feel just like that.... not so much anymore. Nowadays i go into a video store and just end up standing and staring like a moron... trying to find that one movie that will change my life forever or at least help me survive the evening... Truth is tho, I know i'll probably hate whatever i choose and end up feeling like i wasted an entire night and $2.95..... sheesh!! It's almost as bad as shopping for birthday cards! Don't get me started on birthday cards....:$
I get that way when browsing through older films... Specially old school horror movies, ones involving satan and demon stuff..... Not a lot for new flicks... I'm a sucker for classics instead of the stuff thats SPEWED out ever month... The movie industry really is an industry now...
lunacy, i agree, most movies out these days lack vision... I dont stare at the outside walls at blockbuster, where they have 40 copies of each new release.. I mean, down the aisles...
I really dont like blockbuster that much.... They only carry big names and new releases. I like this mom and pop joint by this subway down my street. They got some cool vids.... I stopped going though cause our VHS broke and they dont have many DVDs.
