The Godfather. On The Waterfront. A Streetcar Named Desire. Too many others to mention. What tribute can do him justice? Not this one, I'm not up to the task. All I can say is, go ahead and honor the man all you want, I won't get tired of it like I did with Reagan.
I will.... Theres a difference between honoring with a tribute and parading around to milk a cash cow. Can't we just have a nice reflection of his work, possibly even a movie marathon? Do we have to drag it through the town until the flesh is no more?
He had amazing screen presence, but it was his charisma and good looks that worked so well for him and just generally how the camera loved that face.....was he a good actor?..for sure, those lucky enough to see him do Streetcar on Broadway must thank their lucky stars that they had the chance to see a legend strut his stuff.... but hell he couldn't even remember his lines half the time later in his career!!...even in cameos like Apocalypse Now he impressed (though he talked mostly made up rubbish that got dubbed over) he still rocked!.....waste of talent though...he could have done so much more if the right scripts came along....maybe there's just too much $$$ floating around for easy grabbing that makes actors loose their sense of integrity to their art...I mean look at some of the shit DeNiro is doing (Godsend!!...hahahhaah!!!) Anyway....gawd bless ya Marlo...ya had some fun with Jimmy you were a crap father, not much of a husband...but you left some little treasures that will stick around for some time yet. http://www.uncut.net/features/100 http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000008/
