Ok Guys, so I'm getting my nose pierced a week from Friday, right before I go away on vacation.

I need to be able to change the ring within 7-9 days because thats when I'm coming back from vacation & I work at a country club, so I have to be able to put in a clear acrylic retainer before I have to work again.

Is this possible? To change it after such a short time? What have your experiences been?

Also, can they pierce it with a nose screw or does it have to be a ring?
Oh, & do you think it'll look good on me?

    Thanks!

    xoxo

im not too sure about nose, but i would think it would be similar to some of the peircings i've had. i find it's really not a good idea to mess with them until they are totally healed, as changind them early will lead to damage and infections and things like that.
i had my lip peirced once and didnt let it heal properly and it never healed and then i had to take it out eventually because it hurt so much.

Yes, they can pierce it with a corkscrew nose ring. Imo, those are easiest to clean and rotate. I dont know about changing it within the first 7-9 days.....Ive never done that and so Ive never asked. But I would think that they would probably tell you to wait untill it is fully healed....which I think takes 6-8 weeks. ( I could really be wrong, I had it done soooo long ago)
And yes...it will look awesome your nose! :)

I think it will be OK. I got my nose pierced and when they did it they did it with a big gauged hoop. I thought it looked hideous and figured it would leave an obscene hole in my nose if I took it out and left it out for awhile, so I took it out the next day. It was sore, for a few days, but it turned out OK. I still have my nose...it didn't need to be amputated...and I also still have the piercing and it looks fine. It may just be red for awhile. If you leave it in for longer than I did, I'm sure it can't be any more painful than when I took mine out. I didn't cry, so it must not have hurt that bad. Make sure you clean it though...but NOT WITH PEROXIDE OR RUBBING ALCOHOL as frequently as you remember. Any body piercing near an oriface can get infected easily.

they tell you to leave it alone for about 2 months. i changed mine in about 3 weeks, and it was ok, but a week is pushing it. yes, they get put a screw in, instead of a ring, that's what mine was.it should be cute on you.

You guys don't think that they can pierce it & put a retainer in right away, do you?

Thanks for all of the help!

oh yeah you should always ditch the screw as soon as possible. i foolishly left mine in until the day i had to put a smaller stud in for school and the screw refused to part with the stud, meaning my mum had to yank it out with a pair of tweezers. it took us about ten minutes and it didn't half make my eyes water. but it's all worth it lol.
