I like them all. 7th chords are cool, theyre Jazzy/bluesy to me. Major chords are always good... Yeah man theyre all good
There's no such thing as a favorite chord for me, because it depends on the context. It's like asking your favorite color when in reality how good they look depends on what other colors they're with. How good chords sound depend on the other chords that surround them. Just my $.02.
Gsus4... F# Damn your complex theory. I think I'm one of few people who takes the Nashville number system seriously. But... I enjoy using simple stuff like C7-F7-C7-G7 over a I-IV-I-V progression and an overuse of tritones and drenching my playing with slide. I've learned alot from Jimmy Herring's playing (Aquarium Rescue Unit, Jazz Is Dead) and the Allmans... Ricky Medlocke, Gary Rossington, (Blackfoot, Lynyrd Skynyrd) etc. Combine all of that with Chet Atkins and Django Reinhardt. Southern Jazz-Rock. I'll probably be hard pressed to find a better band to see than Derek Trucks Band...
minors sound pretty neato petito to me but on the flipside 7ths also sound pretty damn cool minors sound kinda dark but oh so melodic and 7ths to me sound happy and lighthearted but i voted for minor just because i suppose
