There will soon be a reunion show dvd/cd of the band Bloodrock. A power house rock band that kicked out some hard ass rock in the 70's, the reunion took place last year as a benefit for keyboard player Stevie Hill who was Ill. Bloodrock is a band that to me never got its due in the rock field, a well toured band that not many other bands wanted on the tours as they would blow away the headliners. Vocalist Jim Rutledge has one of the hardest rock voices ever and lead guitarist Lee Pickens was so underrated. Only the later lp's were not as great when the band finally split and a whole new lineup came to be. But Bloodrock 2 was the killer lp and is out there to buy at your local record store as are most of the lp's, the live Bloodrock does show that on record and live on stage they sound just the same. From what I have heard from people who were at the reunion the Dvd/cd will be well woth the wait and the money. I read it will be limited so write Stevie Hill at Steviehill.com and get on the list for purchase. All I can say is that if you never heard of Bloodrock then do yourself a favor and at least score the Bloodrock 2, or the Live in Chicago and youll be a fan, it took almost 30 years for the reunion so if you miss out then you miss big. Peace In Music..

bloodrock was a good band ...they're not giants but hey! they play better rock n roll than most of actual bands... they diserve to be in the memory of everybody open to rock n roll music ...
This DvD is best than nothing but personnally i will probably never buy it...
Reunion of old 60s' 70s rock bands are for 80 % without a lot of interest...the songs still there but often the spirit...the mentality of that time and their fresh rebel blood are often just past history
but i hope they are in the 20 % ... finger crossed really...and it can't be so bad... you see it ... what do you think of this DVD ?

My scratched/worn out copy of Bloodrock Live crackles and pops but it's a great album.
Lost my copy of the Passage lp years ago.Gotta find another.
For some reason once I think of Bloodrock I think of another Texas band Nitzsinger (bad spelling) as having the same style/sound. Am I right or wrong?.
