Okay, so my mom recently got somewhat crazy and paranoid, and one of the things she did was put all sorts of blocks on my computer using "ContentProtect". Which wouldn't be so bad, except for it's blocking me from stupid harmless things (including friends blogs, stuff like that..and half of these friends I can't see on a regular basis so it's pretty much how I keep up with them). Are there any computer savvy people here who could help me take off/get around some of the restrictions? Or maybe how to hack into an e-mail account so that I could loosen them.

I swear I'm a good kid, I just want to be able to keep up with friends x.x Any help make me incredibly happy and I'd be eternally grateful! :)

you could try this as a workaround :

    http://www.anonymization.net/

depends how the blocker works but it could work, you just type in the internet address in the bar on the web page and it takes u there... better than system restore if you don't wanna be found out.

I tried the resetting thing but it wouldn't let me do it..but I can't really let it be found out I got past the program anyways. Thanks though!

Oo thanks that link might work, it says they're doing maintenance right now but I'll definately re-try it!! :)

Your just another victim of the Mad American (& English...) Bree (Des Hous) type moms who overly protect and wont let you out to play. Im so anoyed about the lapse of freedom that i did a song about it...

Like that AOL advert she is blocking you from the TRUTH which cant be denied. The worlds terrible and your a better person for knowing it.

I can give you a solution that may not be the most efficient, but is pretty much guaranteed to work and is impossible to trace:

Just get yourself a Linux liveCD, put it in the drive, and restart your computer. If all of your hardware is detected properly (it usually is), you should be able to run Linux. Then launch the web browser and look at all the "bad" sites you like.

Getting a LiveCD is easy. You can just download the image from one of the official sites and burn your own, or even have one sent for you for no charge (not even for shipping). http://www.ubuntu.com/
