I got a Prince Albert done in January..

I'd wanted a PA for some months, had spoken to my girlfriend about it
    ...
she soon became more keen than me, and as is the strange serendipity
with these things, I'd spoken to 2 blokes (one of whom was very smug about
its potency) who have not been disappointed by their decision to go ahead
    and have the piercing.

As part of the worrying build-up I read some personal experiences on
this site which went a long way to soothing my nerves. So if you're planning
to get a PA hopefully I can pass on that its not nearly as bad as you
think its going to be ... honestly.

Apart from the couple of weeks psycing myself up, (and quizzing 3
different piercing shop in turn) the proceedure was very swift and relatively
painless ... I say relatively, because each person is different.
However if you have had anysort of half serious piercing before you'll be sorted,
I'd compare it to that of a nipple or tongue. If you're not familiar with
that then perhaps a comparable feeling would be to bite a soft bit of tissue
with the same force as you would chew nougat. Its also dissipates
deceptively fast, you don't need to worry about being immobilised
afterwards, I was able to walk around the city with no bother ... and
if you know Edinburgh, you'll know its very hilly and crampt.

As for shrinkage (you know your penis getting frightened and hiding for cover) ... I had read it was common, and fully expected it.
As it was, my little fella almost inverted at the prospect, but fear not, as
the proceedure itself takes account of this. The receiving tube that is
placed into the urethra is pressed slightly against the point where the
piercing enters, so as to push asside any vein or nerve that might be in the way.

Again I was expecting to have some discomfort when going to piss, and
the fella in the shop even said to watch and take it slowly. Without giving
away too much detail or casting aspersions on the girl in question, I once
(along time ago) had a dose of Chlamydia; if you are in this not so
illustrious club you will have a good idea of the level of discomfort. If not,
don't worry, by the third time it had all but settled down.

Although having said that, I'm having some trouble aiming right. As you
might expect with a twist of metal in your urethra ... getting a
    straight stream is tricky.

For those of you like me who are not circumcised, its difficult to know
what to do for best ... roll back the curtains or pop up your hood whilst healing. I
tried the roll back method first, thinking the extra bit of air might help
the healing process; this had some draw backs…Wee spots of blood that accompanied around the piercing dried onto the hoop and ofcourse needed to be washed well
as a result, plus not being used to that type of sensation I was walking
around with a semi-hardon which was both uncomfortable and could have taken a
bit of explaining in the queue for the post office!

I decided to go with what I know best and use the foreskin for the
purpose it was intended. No harm has followed.

Since I've started in detail, I might as well finish .... My girlfriend
was over in Ireland for 3 weeks after having the piercing done so it healed by the time she
got back, but as I'm sure you're all aware the wee man has a mind of his
    own!
(Morning flag poles, vibrating bus journeys, dirty day-dreams and
    such!!)
Erections weren’t been a problem, but for a short while were accompanied by a few
traces of blood. I would say that it has increased the sensitivity in the tip of my penis quite considerably. I did feel I was coming faster than before but that has settled down now, as it tends to when I meet someone new (but maybe that’s just a little too much information!!)

As a final note. I paid £35, I was also quoted on my travels; £40 and
    £55.
To be honest I had expected it to be more, but I'm not complaining.
Edinburgh isn't a cheap city, but these prices seem fare to me and if
you live in the UK you can make adjustments for you region.

So fret not. Go with your gut. And take a deep breath. ...'its not
nearly as bad as you think its going to be'!

If you are thinking about getting one or have already had a PA, maybe you’d like to share some of your own stories?
