For all you people who are curious about the weather in Amsterdam/Holland this time of year: it's friggin' nuts! One moment it's nice and warm and sunny.. the other moment they declare an emergency situation because of a huge storm! Like today, our national weather station issued it's top-level warning because of a great storm that's coming over the country.. people are advised to stay inside unless they have a very good reason to go elswhere.. there's the danger of getting hit by stuff flying 'round (tree branches, rooftiles etc.).. it's also adviced not to go out on bike or with a caravan.. let alone go on the water.. The railway system is already messed up, falling branches and lightening hit the powerlines of the trains so lots of parts can't be reached by train anymore. Sooo.. if you ever want to come to Amsterdam/Holland.. be prepared of anything! It's nice here though.. usually
welcome in the netherlands when your working its fabulous weather and when you are free to enjoy it it rains all day. Last week was the first nice week of this summer. Mabe theres still hope.
I was there exactly two years ago and that week was one of the hottest on record. I stayed in a hotel w/o AC (most don't), and it was at least 90F (32C) and as high as 95F one day.
