I'm not trying to provoke or cause trouble, but I've been having trouble understanding what the Quran teaches about defending Allahs name recently and stumbled upon this site.

http://faithfreedom.org/Quran.htm (Scroll down to the teachings)

I would like to here from Muslims, who would like to educate me on why Islamic terrorists believe they are going to be greeted by the open arms of Allah, for blowing themselves and a bunch of innocent people (some women and children) up?

I was always taught that if you kill then you go straight to hell and God will judge those who spite him, himself, so why do they fight Allahs corner in such a violent and cowardly way?

Also, can you give your opinions on the website link?

Understod, and your question is ofcourse welcomed.

First of all, killing innocent people is one of the greatest of sins and there are many verses in the Quran denouncing killing innocent souls:

"And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause"(17.33)

"..If anyone kills a person for any reason other than for (the killing of) a person or for sowing corruption in the land, it will be as if he had killed the whole of mankind." (5:32)

Say: "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him; be kind and dutiful to your parents; kill not your children because of poverty -- We provide sustenance for you and for them. Come not near to Al-Fawahish (immoral sins) whether committed openly or secretly; and kill not anyone whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause. This He has commanded you that you may understand.")[6.151]

Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. (25.68)

and several other passages

there are numerous ahadith (narrations from the prophet) that forbid the killing of innocent during times of war:

"The Messenger of God forbade the killing of women and children" (Bukhari 56:147)"

“We were with Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) during a battle and we saw people gathered together. He dispatched a man to find out why they were gathered. The man returned and said: ‘They are gathered around a slain woman.’ So Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: ‘She should not have been attacked!’ Khâlid b. al-Walîd was leading the forces, so he dispatched a man to him saying: ‘Tell Khâlid not to kill women or laborers’.” [Sunan Abu Dawood]

“I saw the body of a slain woman during one of the battles of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so he forbade the killing of women and children.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]

"The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not kill any old person, any child, or any woman" (Abu Dawud)."

"The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever killed a person having a treaty of protection with Muslims, shall not smell the scent of Paradise, though its scent is perceived from a distance of forty years."

It is important to distinguish between muslims and islam, we hold our religion perfect though muslims are not. There is no "islamic terrorism" since islam forbids spreading terror and corruption upon innocents though you will find "muslim terrorism", even then its practised by a small number.

If you want to understand why they are comitting such actions, ask your self what position they are in? Their land has been bombed by US forces constantly (in Afgan for example) leading to the killing of thousands of innocent people (isnt this terrorism?) and in Iraq by economic sanctions leading to the killing of over halv million children!!!! not to mention all the houses and lives that have been lost due to "smart bombs" that are not soo smart, they have lost their land due to zionist in Israel, had their houses blowned down and been shot by heavy armed soldiers for throwing stones and been killed in large numbers in Chechnya which has left thousands of orphans.

This is not "evil people who hate us", this is an angry crowd who have been subued to oppression and have -many times- taken wrong ways to fight this oppression; such as killing innocents.

"O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not others' hatred of you make you depart from justice and swerve towards wrong. Be just: for justice is next to piety. And fear God; for God knows all you do." (5:9)

So really.. if you accept that USA and Israel are killing millions of innocent Muslim Children then your Koran allows you to murder as many Americans and Jews - IF - it will convince them to stop.
Like going into a Russian school and torturing and murdering children.

Please answer this Cab?

Dark pit, that site belongs to a sect who deny the authentic reports of the prophet, their called Quraniyoons and accept only Quran. This, even though the quran says:

"..And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah..." (59: 7)

The quran mentions a subject and the prophet described how to perform or withdraw from it, denying his words is denying parts of the quran.

This is open to major interpretation. If someone kills someone the death penalty is okay? Sowing of corruption could be interpreted as what the Danish magazine did?
I'm not anti-muslim and I do believe that the vast majority of muslims are peaceful people. I do however feel that alot of the Quran is quite ambiguous and as is said in Shakespeares 'The Merchant of Venice', "The devil can cite scripture for his purpose", which is what the fundamentalists are doing.

Thank you Cab, for answering most of my question.

Stoney, I didn't know madjonny (I love that nickname, lol) promotes that site regularly and didn't mean to cover old ground, I'm just trying to get my head around a few things. I know the site is anti - Islamic but are the Quran quotes in there wrong?

Also will the terrorists be rejected by Allah?

hehe, goes with his charachter too ..so friggin angry with the world :p

if you want quotes from the Quran, go to the source and read it all in context and as cab suggested (scroll up) rather than an anti-islamic site ..it'd be like watchin fox news to know what americans think of the world!

i cant even define "terrorists" anymore, coz there are very many of them who are in the business of terrorism ..some with sickness in their hearts and minds, some as an act of offensive defence - who do i side with ? none. who do i blame ? myself along with the rest of us

who do you side with ? who do you blame ?

. who will Allah 'reject' ? only He knows
