Jefferson Airplane and the 13th Floor Elevators both kick arse!

Also, Pink Floyd's really early stuff like "Astronomy Domine" or "See Emily Play", and a lot of Donovan's less familiar material, like the songs on the album "A Gift From a Flower to a Garden."

Oh, and of course, "Nights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues; 'tis a beautiful song.

Well, this is an almost impossible task, but I will name a few songs that I think were very important in the 60s. (Meaning very influential)

The Beatles - "Tomorrow Never Knows" (Helped to usher in psychedelia to mainstream music)
The Beatles - "Love You To" (Helped to introduce Eastern music to the Western world; aka the sitar)
The Beatles - "All You Need is Love" (Inspiration for the Hippy movement)
    The Beatles - "Helter Skelter"
The Beatles - "Paperback Writer" (Claimed by John Lennon to be the first "hard rock" song)
The Rolling Stones - "Satisfaction" (Showed people a different side to the British Invasion)
The Rolling Stones - "Gimmie Shelter" (Very influential to later artists)
Jefferson Airplane - "Somebody to Love"
The Who - "I Can See for Miles" (Helped to usher in psychedelia to mainstream music)
The 13th Floor Elevators - "You're Gonna Miss Me"
The Velvet Underground - "Venus in Furs"
    The Velvet Underground - "Heroin"
The Velvet Underground - "Sister Ray"

Meh, there are so many, there is no point in going on. Check out the thread "Psychedelic Rock Essentials" to learn about artists and albums from this genre.
