So, on Friday, I had my tonsils out. I'm recovering now, slowly and painfully. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for a gal on the mend. I'm living on soup broths and water. It *kills* to swallow and I barely leave bed.:( I'm on some pretty intense painkillers, but I hate the side effects (hang-over like mornings, nausea, dizziness, no appetite). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone. *hugs*

Eat Sorbet. it's better than ice cream because there is no dairy to make your throat flemmy. And it's so good, esp the mango kind. feel better!

if your throat is still sore, try honey lemon ginger tea - just simmer some water with ginger and lemon slices in it, add some honey after putting some in a cup. it tends to help with sore throats (as long as it's not extraordinarily strong)

otherwise, ask your doctor if you can take gravol for your nausea and upset tummy, it can really really help with that stuff. Makes people sleepy a lot of the time, but helps with upset tummies

I hope you feel better soon babe!

Yeah, I have the Gravol Chewables and it's doing wonders for the nausea. As for the lemon, my instructions say to avoid citrus fruits for ten days, so I don't think that's an option. Thanks, ihmurria! You're a sweetie-pie!!:D
