People on power trips.(lets try this again)

Please discuss your thoughts on the matter. Discuss what you think causes some people to act in a manner unbehooving of a position, and tell us stories about work and school or even law enforcement wise.

 

oh man...tons of them at my school...you take your normal picked-on high schooler and give him power and responsibility at a military college = you got yourself someone whose gonna go on some major power trips.

lets see experiences:
-curfew for upperclassman for an entire week
-parade practice in the monring for an entire week
-wearing our wool uniform in the pouring rain when we should have been in BDU's
-yelling at me for not knowing where my roomate is - god forbid my roomate has a life of his own outside of school

i could go on and on...

 

my manager always has to have someone on her shitlist. I mean, I kind of understand ahving something in your life that pisses you off, if you use it as a fuel, as a form of motivation. But when you're a manager and one of your employees talked to customer you had been helping (because the customer initiated the discussion), you shouldn't be allowed to take it out on that EE by barely talking to them and schedulign them for the shittiest shift they can work only one day a week

 

I think people do this as a result of being unhappy with their life in general, they feel like they haven't got something that others have so they use position to give themselves a hightened sense of personal value, ie you must be someone if you can order people around (you're playing the game now, Chaos..very clever).

 

seriously, people at this school are such hypocrites too. they'll drink on campus one night, and then bust others for doing the same thing and act like they're doing the school a service for busting up kids drinking.

or we have kids who follow the rules and regs to a T. every rule on the book is followed and they will call anyone out who breaks it. get a life. this is college.

then we have the hard chargers who act all 'hooah' all the fucking time, like there gods gift to ROTC. get over it people, you suck at life.

i hate these fuckers...bastards
