Ok, for the past year i want to get dread locks. But My aunt (whos a hair dresser person) says I dont have the hair for it. So im wondering what kind of hair do you need for dread locks? I know the hair what black people have is ideal for dread locks. But you see Im White and i have long strait brown (dirty-blond) hair. Could it be done? hair type does not matter, just the care and time you put into maintaining it. If you have more fair straight hair you will just take longer for them to form. Your hair has to be allowed to form dreadlocks being that it never has. Before combs and shampoos were around everyones hair dreadlocked naturally. The only thing stopping your hair is the chemicals and fragrance you use on it daily. Check out the knotty know how link. Anyone can form dreadlocks....
