my pappa told me that he partied with cheech and chong back in the 70's when he was going to college. they were doing a show up here at NMU and my dad and his friends were all campin out one night after the show.. cheech and chong stumbled upon them and they all smoked a joint together. my dad says that the way they act in there movies is how they act in real life.. isn't that awesome?
I would say Tommy Chong is still like that... But Cheech quit smoking marijuana in 1985. I remember seeing something about him saying something about how people change after he was being accused of being a sellout.
I actually got to meet Tommy Chong last year... He was doing a tour though a bunch of comedy clubs (We caught him at Yuck Yucks) in Toronto... Anyhow, he wasn't smoking (we were - and his show was mainly based on getting high, and about all the crap that happened to him when he got arrested... I also know he had to cancel a fair bit of that tour, as people coming out were getting high at the show... and they had a problem with that, as it was against his condition of parole or something retarded like that... So yea, I think he is keeping things low key these days.. He did hang out with us after the show, and sold t-shirts, and "Tommy chong underwear"... it was pretty cool either way.. l8r
