As some of you know, I am in the process of having 6 new teeth put in. (long story as to why) Well, for the next month I have these temporary ones in place until the permanent ones are ready to be 'installed'. These temporary ones are essentially two fake teeth attached together and they were glued in. They are delicate and I can't bite into anything like a sandwich or pizza - I have to eat everything with a fork, otherwise they will come out. Well, I must have been eating a sandwich in my sleep this morning as I woke up to two of them popped out. I shoved them back up in there as I can't get to the dentist until Monday to get them reglued. Okay, here's my problem. I really need to get to bed as I have class all day tomorrow from 8am until 5pm, but I'm a little skeptical about falling asleep. Should I either A. Go to bed and risk them falling out and me swallowing them? or B. Pretend that I am an old man and take them out and put them on my nightstand? Thank you in advance for your urgent consoltation in this matter..
i have no idea. but this thread freaks me out. ive had my first "tooth losing" dream about three months ago.... in that time ive had about 40. they are very vivid and they scare me... good luck, sweetie.
really metro.. i honestly have them every other night lately!! i am thinking of makign a post in the dream forum about it. do you have any idea what it means??????
I'm not sure. I do grind my teeth sometimes though... It probably has to do w/the fact that I'm an anxious, tense, stressed person.? maybe. I don't know.
i am NEVER mean to a man with my teeth. ask any of them.. i am very gentle and loving with my mouth but my teeth do not get in the way.... next?
It was an accident that happened 20 years ago. A friend of my older brother dropped me on my head (insert side jabbing joke here) and the work that I had done back then and the 'band aid' repairs since had essentially reached their lifespan. So, it was time for new ones.
dhs- is there any advantage to leaving them in? I'd take 'em out, I'm a light sleeper as it is and I'd be paranoid about swallowing them.
well met.. ive never thought i would grind my teeth until i caught myself twice in the time i was having that dream. it's been since i started having panic attacks too.. could be it. i made a post in the dream forum tho.
Well, the only thing I'm concerned about is that perhaps my gums might shift if I take them out and then tomorrow morning I might not be able to get them back in there. I think I'm gonna risk it though
missfontella... are you serious??? cause i have it ALLL the time and there is something MAJOR i do need to tell somone. fawk.... it wont even let me alone in my sleep!!!
So if they fall out for real in your sleep does that mean you really really really need to tell someone something? Aside from telling the dentist to use more glue.
haha... you know, according to freud, dreaming of losing teeth indicates fear of impotence or castration.
naw... i think so many people dream of teeth falling out, it's common like the naked-in-public dream. it's about embarrassment. imagine just sitting there at dinner on a date and all of a sudden, your teeth start falling out all over the place.... hahahahahhaa....
