Hello everyone. I am planning a trip to Germany for the World Cup. I would like to stay in a cool city, outside one of the main cities. Like somwhere close to Hamburg or somehwere close to Koln or even Frankfurt. I'm hoping to save on the cost of accomodation considering the high cost during the world cup. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks :)

How long do you plan to stay.?
Not sure what country your from or support but you could
be there for ages or not, depends who qualifies or not, etc.

    Anyway, come on England.!

hey! Thanks for posting about the World Cup. I am also in the works for planning a trip. I was planning on staying in Stuttgart but i am not sure yet. I was planning on seeing a few countries in only a weeks time. So i am going to be busy the whole time. Are you actually going to be seeeing a match? i dont know how or where to buy tickets. Are they like hundreds of dollars or what? I would DIE to see a world cup match.

getting tickets is not the easy at least from what I can see. YOu have to fill out an application to get tickets then a selection process is made but the cheapest tickets are not to bad for the group round the cheapest is like 35 euros and the prices go up from there. btw i plan to be in germany for the group round to see a match or two.

    peace

If you like cities go to Berlin. It's definitely the best place.
So much to see and to do. Great spirit and many people from different places.
If you like small towns go to some place in Bavaria.
Generally in summer the rural areas in Germany are very beautiful.
