why is it so damd difficult for humans to comprehend
that a lack of linear determinism DOES NOT equal
    totaly caotic white noise randomness?

perhaps viewing the world through some cartisian dualism....and a profound lack of faith in things to reach some sort of taoistic ballance all by themselves ....added the addiction of reducing things down to their last part while overlooking how it relates to the whole .......maby

its terrible cause a lot of the ways that we have been taught things were refracted through the prism ofthat strange dualism that reviles matter and romanticizing spirit [as if it existed outside of matter ].....and the tecnology that must be developed so that people will be able to survive a post industrio-capitalist scenario must be distilled from it in part ......i believe only decentralized volentary and non coercive institutions will flourish after the money goes bad . ones where everyone is included inthe fullest sense ......athauritarian measures are impracticle in times of scarcity and great change

i agree this far ... maybe also failure to take responsibility: better be totally determined than free and thus responsible. Perhaps a lack of courage to make a change, resulting in this kind of fatalism..........

because we'r not meant to live in a world like this. We're not meant to live in cities, wear heels, sit in traffic eat processed food. We're living in an enviorment that isn't intended for our species, hence there's no balance

I have to agree with lynsey's and makno's answers. We live in a world that is almost never quite in sync with what our instincts tell us it should be. As a result, it seems there is always this backdrop of spiritual, emotional, intellectual and cognative dis-ease with reality.

Not only does this make it difficult, for many people, to simply trust the universe, it makes it very difficult to even KNOW that you can, and should, trust the universe. I guess it's just easier to live the hard life you have than the better life you could have.

    So . . . trust the universe.

    Peace and Love
