Lighting: 430w Son Agro HPS (extra blue spectrum) Container: 58.5L Rubbermaids X 2 Air Pump: Elite 802 (dual output) X 2 Baskets: 4" hydro baskets X 6 Medium: Rockwool cubes (ea. basket contains 3x3x3 1.5" rockwool cubes, the one in the top middle has the plant in it) TREATED WITH pH 5.5 germination solution I started off by germinating the seeds in 10 rockwool cubes (in ziplocks), I sprayed them once a day to maintain moistness. After 4 days I put them (the strongest 6 of 10) in the hydro system (too late, view my post in the trouble forum) and because they were drooping after a couple of days I set up those roaps with loops on them to hold the stems up. I fan the closet door three times a day for circulation, and spray the plants (until their roots touch the hydro solution) with germination solution. What do you all think? This is my first time growing. EDIT: More pictures. Also, this is about 1.5 weeks since start of germination (esimation). 1.5 weeks picture: 2.5 weeks pictures: Note: Im having a slight pH issue, in the process of trying to lower it from 7.5 to 6.5-7 but it just wont lower! (check out the pests & problems forum for more info)
I dont know much about I am am just getting in to hydro but looks solid. How much did the set up cost you?

The light system cost 200$ (bulb, 430w ballast, cheapest reflector) baskets, nutrients, air pumps, rockwool cubes cost a total of 80$. The containers (rubbermaid w/ tops), fire extinguisher, and smoke detector cost me 55$. Misc. tools/tape/etc. cost me like 20$. And finally, pH tester, pH up and pH down cost me 20$. So a total of 375$ for the system itself.
Keep your mouth going and you will be perma banned.Learn from this warning. __________________ Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds-Albert Einstein The greatest service rendered any country is to add a useful plant to its culture-Thomas Jefferson
Very nice Anon. Look under the Tekneeks section and find the "easy hydroponic vegetave growth" thread by me and it'l tellya what you could do when they need nutes. It describes how to mix Fox Farm Grow Big 3-2-6 the way plants like it. Bubblers are very effective growing machines and with a good nutrient regime youl do well. I strongly recomend FFGB 3-2-6 for vegative growth. Check out the "Easy hydroponic veg growth" thread in the growin tekneeks section and it'l tellya how to use the FFGB. Blessins
I have a 3 bottle hydro nutrition set. With the 'base' 'grow' and 'bloom'. Mixing instructions are in the back and I try to follow them as best I can. I forgot to mention that with my air pumps I have them attached to air stones in the containers to diffuse the air into the water.
