I think the show American Chopper would be better if Mikey would walk around smoking a waterpipe. It's obvious he tokes, I just wish they would show it. Also if the old man was still a drunk that would be cool too. Picture him stumbling in the door totally shitfaced with a bottle of Jim Beam. Talking shit with Pauly and getting in a fight, knocking bikes over. That would really spice up the show.
That show is on television in the Netherlands too and it is one of the very few television shows I actually enjoy.
I like the show but it's starting to get stale. Every episode is the same, they have to come up with a special bike design, Paul Jr. sits around and stares at it like he's a sculptor, Paul Sr. walks in and shouts, "What the fuck is taking so damn long?!!" And Junior shouts back, "You don't know what you're talking about! Get the fuck out of here old man!" "We have a deadline to meet ya goddamn prima donna!" "We'll make it! Quit yer griping!" And so Senior walks back into his office and pouts for about 10 minutes, then comes back out and starts the shouting all over again. Halfway through the program they'll take a break to go fishing or skeet shooting or play volleyball, then they'll go back to work and run into an unexpected problem. "I knew something like this would happen! That's the trouble with you, you don't plan ahead!" "We're taking care of it! Go back to sitting in your office and doing nothing!" "Clean up this place!" All this time Mikey is walking around doing nothing, and finally at the last moment they come through, the bike is finished, it looks great, everybody loves it, etc. They need some new storylines.
Hell yeah, that would be sweet. I swear I remember one episode Mikey had left the shop for a second, and when he came back you could just tell he was blitzed.
