well, PC has more bad looking games, but it also has the best looking games. Looks generally depend more on the artists and programmers than on the hardware. But there are great artists making games for PC and it has better graphics hardware. I wouldnt be so sure it wil be that way forever though.
PC games are good because your using a monitor, X-Box 360 has to be played using HDTV (high definition) for the whole gaming experience to be appreciated. X-Box 360 games however are great stuff but there are way too many titles that have been designed to quickly and rushed to meet demand. Give it a while and the 360 games are going to be great.
PC is still better. Xbox 360 isn't nearly as impressive nor is it as big a jump as the original + consoles like Dreamcast PS2 etc. It's more like Xbox 1.5. It's graphics have already been eclipsed on PC. I don't predict a very long life for the console.
Who cares about how games look. Back in the day, we cared about setting, characters, gameplay... And when you ask which games look better, you aren't even talking about esthetics and design, but about polygons, framerate and resolution.
Agreed.. though there's not much around today that really concentrates on any of those things, apart from RPG/MMORPGs. I wouldn't say there's anything on the 360 that surpasses the PC in any way. Most of launch titles seemed rushed, and the ports (Quake 4 and COD2) weren't up to the graphical/framerate standard of the PC counterparts. Then again, PGR3 did look pretty sweet. HDTV is all fine and good, but if your PC/Video Card's good enough you can use higher resolutions anyway. PC wins all the way.. it's actually a lot cheaper for the same results (like, you don't have to spend >£1000 on an HDTV)... and, you could sue someone for selling you a 20gb PC hard drive for £80!!
well, on a PC monitor, games still are going to look better. a LCD monitor is limited to 60 FPS. a regular TV is limited to 30, and a HD tv, 70. now, a graphics card can hit over the refresh rate FPS limit
what are you talking about. my LCD is 75 max rate. first off I hate to say it but I think that pc will still be able to outdo the 360. I have a 360 but not hdtv. it looks great but... and wait for it... on the elder scrolls web site you can view screen shots of the pc version and x360 version of oblivion and the pc version seems to look better on the pc screens. true the launch game graphics weren't that huge a step forward but some games were very impressive. I say cod2's smoke particles impressed me, condemned was pretty, except really dark and right now playing fight night round 3 and it looks really good in the graphics department if you don't count the menu's that is... I still like to play my games on a console more than a pc though and graphics better aren't gonna change that. like it was already said it's all about the gameplay and the feel, imersion into the game.
Comparing PC games to XBox 360 games ... That's like ... comparing tasty apples to used toilet paper. WHO'S WITH ME? No but seriously, the XBox 360 will never come close.
I agree 100%. PCs are upgradable, xboxes are not. i will have to say.... the PS3(nov. 12) will rival all PC, and xbox 360 games.
xbox 360 is upgradable, plus if you have live you already get auto downloads that help with the original xbox games and patches, there is also external stuff already anounced for upgrades do a little research before anouncing your ignorance.
I love me some computer games, but I don't like sitting at a computer to play them -- if that makes sense. Maybe if I had a couch instead of a computer chair.... My roomates all went in and bought a 360 a few weeks ago and I have to say, it is a lot of fun -- but we still play our PS2 just about as much. Fun games are fun games -- on ANY title. Hell, I still love me some Super Mario World on Super NES. Fun is fun.
