Next time youre stoned and outside, lie down on the ground and look at the sky.
we know that we are on earth and that the sky is looking up into smace, through our atmosphere and into the cosmos

but when you lie down, forget all that, and imagine instead that earth is a moon. earth is a moon circling around a planet that is so huge that it stretches to the far peripheral of your vision, all the way to the horizon. the blue of the day sky is the ocean of this planet, with clouds sweeping over it, and sometimes you might see some islands represented by the small, compact clouds sometimes seen lonesomly drifting around much further than the normal clouds

at night time, stars can become anything

perhaps these are lights from civilisation

or the lights of vessels; land, air, sea.

    what can you see?

    can you see this?

(hehe probably not if youre in the northern hemisphere)

i've always thought that when i've looked at the sky. like there is another planet that is about to hit ours. that's really cool that you think about it too.

Twice in the last 6 years, my kids and I have dragged our butts out of bed at 2 am to go lay outside on blankets and watch meteor showers, I'm sure when the next big one rolls around we'll do it again. Sometimes you forget how beautiful it is to just look up and enjoy the universe.

The sky kicks ass. It gets two thumbs up from me.

We should have a holiday for it.
