I don't reccomend asking that on this forum... hardly anyone on there knows what real emo is... they all think bands like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan are emo. Really though, Cap'n Jazz, Cursive, The Julian Theory, Rites Of Spring, Spill Canvas, and Sunny Day Real Estate are some pretty alright emo bands. It's kind of hard to explain a genre to someone... Oh, and a really good screamo band is Circle Takes The Square.
Ska, definately. I have emo friends, and they play it loads... I can't even tell one emo band from another.
It's not dumb in that they aren't alike. The only reason i am seeing whihc is better is because every emo kid I know hates ska kids and says emo is way better. Every ska kid I know hates emos and says ska is way better. So this was sort of a way to see what's more popular on hipforums..
Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, and Jazz are cool everchanging genres, where as emo is just one long continuous fest of pussyism.
i choose ska..... emo sucks but i don't see how you lumped jazz in with ska...... jazz is a way more complex music than ska......
you are so lucky that you don't know what emo is..... i wish i could live without having to put up with these pussies it's just music where there are some lame riffs accompanied by a whining annoying anorexic looking guy with shitty hair
I'm for 'Ska', but, please, 'including reggae, rocksteady, jazz'? I mean, the first two I can understand, though technically I don't think they're the same thing, but growing from eachother and v. simalar, but JAZZ! :&
For hippies people on here sure are incredibly hateful when it comes to other genres....sounds pretty damn narrow minded to me.....
