Ok I am sure most of the people here have seen the TV series "COPS". I get so pissed off when I watch some of them, the way they treat people is so inhumane. Especially when they use tasers. I think cops have way to much power/athority and they can get away with anything. Remember a while back where that cop shot that Air Force guy and it showed it on the news, that guy wasnt even doing anything. My dads best friend was gunned down by the police, and all he had was a holster of a sword!!! They could have easily used other means to arrest him(even though they had no grounds to arrest him at the time). It was his weekend to have custody of his son, and his ex wife wanted him to bring him home and he said no its my weekend, and I've known this guy my whole life he was a good person, and the cops came and surrounded his house and he came to the door with a holster and said "you guys just go on home I have the right to be with him thhis weekend" and they shot him 9 times, the autopsy said 4 or 5 of those shots came after he had been dead. Also... I dont understand how people when they ask "why am I being arrested?" the cops tell them to shut up and when they say wait a minute they charge them with resisting arrest but they didnt even tell them what is wrong in the first place. My head is hurting and I am very pissed off right now just thinking about all of this, thats my rant...
That show always pisses me off when I watch it. The WORST is when they are sitting outside what they call a "known drug dealers house" and arresting the people driving away. Why don't they go get the goddamn drug dealer rather than letting him deal and busting people on possession charges? And they wonder why so many people hate the cops... Another time I saw them yanking a guy from his truck right out the driver side window. Well this guy was still buckled in, and he was getting caught on the seatbelt when they were yaking him out. The cops thought he was resisting and were beating the shit out of him even though it was their fault he wasn't coming out of the truck. I'm wondering why the fuck that video wasnt used to get those cops suspended or put in jail for assualt.

The police forces that allow their offices to be shown on these over inflated shows..seem to think it is going to be 'Good PR'... How mixed up they are.. these programes thrive on midnight busts with stoned or pissed people making a arse off themselves over who is going to finish of the joint.. generalisation i guess but it's never a ordinary 'bust'.. what be the point ot the programe if it was 'dull' ?. I'm am sure when tasers are used .. it is within operation procedures..it might look bad..but rather that than 'popping a cap in his ass'.. [gee i wish our police said things like that..]. Crimewatch... I think that is like America's Most Wanted. But a lot of times taser's arent needed. Sometimes when cops say someone is "resisiting" its because there are so many cops tyrying to subdue the person they are on top of them keeping them from moving, those bastards love to beat the fuck out of anyone they can. Small town cops are real bad about that kind of stuff.
I think you might me right .. a little more subtle though maybe ?. i dunno if the tasers are needed everytime or are over used.. i would much rather that then bullets. I'm not trying to defend every darn cop on that show.. i guess overhandedness might be a legitimate claim to make.. but i think it is safe to say.. lawsuits would be handed out if anything overtly unjust went on... It does seem [i'm not sure though] a lot of the smaller town cops are more likely to let 'cops' in ?.. maybe they are a bit naive and DO think the show is doing them good..?
So many of those shows are set in my backyard. I love watching them and seeing local landmarks go by.
Some of the episodes are good tho, like where cops are being civil and humane. Where are you from Iron Goth?
To the OP... that's horrible. I knew they were brutal - the London police held a man down and shot him seven times in the head, which your story reminded me of - but it always surprises me to hear such horrible things. They're not careful enough about who they put in a position of authority. They need to make sure they aren't the kind of people who get off on being assholes to people who can't do anything about it. I have tremendous admiration for the cops who follow the law and respect the rights of the people they're arresting. The rest, I'd spit in their face if I could without being beaten within and inch of my life.
haha yeah i saw an episode where like 5 cop cars pulled over this car and like made it this huge deal and they were telling the guy to get out of his car and they had their guns out and pointing at him. well it turns out it was the completely wrong person and i bet that guy was like what the fuck did i do??? hahaha
Please...they mostly bust toothless,white,trash. They are always high and stupid...and usually naked. If you walk around holding a baggie of crack,wearing only a t-shirt,trying to flag down a car to drive you to an alley to sell said crack for money to buy some pants....you are asking for your ass to get kicked by a cop. I have no sympathy for people that braindead. Scratch that, I have more sympathy for people who are clinically braindead then these idiots that land on Cops.
