Muslim outrage huh. OK ... let's do a little historical review. Just some lowlights: * Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage. * Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage. * A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage. * Let's go way back Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage. * Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage * Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage. * Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged. Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose!
Go ahead, man. Just do yerself a favor, the next time you try bringing up the Iraq war or some such crap and try and position it as a "Christian" war (which it isn't) I'd point out the very large resistance to same. Or are you gonna drag up the Crusades, which happened hundreds of years ago and everyone but you has let go.
When did we do this? Or behead someone on video tape for God? I'd LOVE to see this rebuttal. But yet again, stoney opens his large mouth to say essentially nothing.
you will never get a reply because that would mean people have to accept your view as correct, but they see that you see the world as 'us' and 'them', y'know where all individuals belonging to the group are exactely the same
so are you tryina say iraq is not a christian war ? unless bush, blair, howard, aznar and the rest of the charlies converted!
stoney69 - dude, the war in Iraq is about oil, nothing else. There is nothing "Christian" about it. Whereas the videotapes of people cutting the heads off social workers are supposedly doing so for God.
Oh, and besides the point, even if it was, there have been many a protest against said war, many of which have been held in churches. I don't hear anyone in a mosque saying "stop killing for God". Could this be because of the concept of jihad?
yea ok the 'cultured' terrorists made it about oil ..no wait, they didnt ..it was for the WMD ..no wait, gettin rid of saddam coz he was in bed with al qaeda, or maybe not ..thats coz he fucked with the kuwaitis and before them the iranians. actually it was coz he tried to kill daddy - nahhhh, it was really about givin the uncultured bastards a taste of freedom/democracy ..just as long as they can mess with heads like yours! you didnt hear that in any mosque ? not even the one you were preachin in ?
Huh? The terrorists attack people over cartoons about Mohammed and other Islamic ideals, not oil. What does this have to do with Christianity? NOTHING. Right. Thanks for playing. http://www.mg.co.za/articlePage.aspx?articleid=264092&area=/insight/insight__national/ http://www.yorkshiretoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=55&ArticleID=1349099 http://159.54.227.3/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060212/NEWS06/60212036 Need I say more?
I am rather interested in an explanation for this myself. I just can't put it together in my mind. Of all the atrocious things done by muslims, why is it the cartoon that get's them rioting in the streets? For a group of people so worried about others disrespecting Islam they need to worry about themselves and the example they are setting for Islam first and foremost. And if these guys don't like bombs being associated with Mohammad, then why does that seem to be their destruction method of choice so recently?
Stoney will answer this question when Satan skates to work. Mind you I can't blame him, if he answers in a way that angers his fellow he might be beheaded.
i'll say what i've said in one of the many threads that are bein glorified with the same arguments. allow yourself to get sucked into the details and you'll be derailed ..there's a bigger issue at stake which is bein ignored by the world community. if you contribute anymore towards what has become the "us/we and them" phenomena ..take a step back and consider the longer term effects
Christianity has always angered me because of the double-standards, intolerance, and hypocricy but these Muslims are really taking the cake. I've always tried to be understanding to muslims, I don't know the religion or culture well and I feel like we are in an unfair and unnecessary war with a predominately muslim country, but that doesn't mean I am going to feign respect for a religion that is making itself out to be even more extreme and intolerant than another religion I already hate. There is only so far my humanitarian ideals will take me. Dont ask for respect if you arent willing to give it. Dont ask me to respect a religion that refuses to respect individual right to life and freedom. Basically, I will not respect a religion that does not respect me.
Ain't us out there being terrorists or wanting people killed for disagreeing with them. Don't get me wrong, we need each other. We need your oil and you need, well, everything else. And we'll probably end up in a world war over it.
We can only be so considerate and objective, they have got to give a little too. All our compassion and understanding for this culture will do us no good in bridging the gap if they aren't willing to give what they are asking from us. They must be ready to be responsible for their actions if they expect us to be (and we should be). Otherwise they deserve nothing.
...and they say, there's no systematic approach to the mind-screwin in the world that the bored politicians are playin
