I happen to live in Colorado, and there is a petition now on display that, if enough signitures are supplied, will get in as a bill to on the November 2006 ballad. This bill would make it legal to possess up to an ounce of cannabis if you are of or above the age of 21. This is rather huge as it would be the first time that cannabis has been legal inside the US for 60 years. Contribute if you can!

I'm confident we'll get it on the ballot. However, I'm not sure if it'll pass come November. In regards to an earlier question you asked, there is no mention of paraphernalia in the initiative passed as Denver City and County law.

Here is a link to the initiative already passed.

If you are serious about helping the cause, contact SAFER to help as you can.

Oh my shit, I'll finally be able to vote then? November of this year? I'm 18 in june.

So I might be able to vote for what I truly believe in and attempt to mold the country into that of a stable and sensible government?

As of right now, Michigan will not be voting on this. COLORADO is trying to legalize it on the STATE level. So you my friend will not be able to vote for this cause here. However, there are plenty of worthwhile causes to vote for in Michigan.

Hehe, I still enjoy the news reports that cover the cannabis usage in Denver. I just don't really agree with the campaign SAFER stands behind; cannabis shouldn't just be considered a safer recreational substance... it can do a hell of a lot more (medically) than alcohol. But, I do want to see it legal, even though I rarely use it as is.

right, but whereas we've already approved medical MJ, they are pushing the rec side. I personally think they do carry a valid argument. There are plenty of times I'd choose to have a smoke than a couple beers. Alochol does make me more beligerant opposed to the mellowness of bud.
