I don't use them,me and my boyfriend are clean and I go to the doctor often and so far nothing is wrong!.The reason I don't use them is because I HATE latex...I am not allergic,but it stinks and is uncomfortable...I don't even like latex gloves on my hands! I heard that other condoms,non-latex ones are made from animal skin? Does anyone know if that is true? That is pretty gross and I was just thinking if that is true,then what about vegans? I mean what if a vegan is allergic to latex and obviously not going to use animal skin! Are there any other kind of condom that I never heard about??
A long time ago they wer, but not nowadays i wouldnt hav thought, not sanitery or desireable enough and there are to many alternatives.
there are polyurethane condoms as well. they tend to cost more than latex, but not as much as sheepskin (which are NOT good protection, especially against STD's... pores are too large, they let viruses and suchlike through still) Yeah, most people who are allergic to latex go with the polyurethane ones instead
Thats cool...I never heard of those kind before,but it is reassuring to know that if I do ever need to use condoms (like if I leave my bf and get with someone else I know NOTHING about...) that there are other alternatives to latex and disgusting animal skin!
I have to use polyurathane because of allergies... they are really expensive and only come in packs of 6. kind of annoying but do what you have to do, you know?

i hate latex too. i totally agree. it stinks and feels horrible. i hate gloves too!!! i'm really interested in trying some latex alternatives, but yeah they are expensive.
