If you take out a tongue piercing and you want to repierce it, would it be wise to do so? Would it not be wise due to the initial scarring as when the first piercing took place? Just wondering.
it doesn't matter. you can repierce through it. i've done it several times on my lip piercings and my septum.
just be prepared for the issue of scar tissue. i repierced my nose about a month ago and it hurt a bit more because he pierced it in the same spot and had to go through the scar tissue.
Me personnaly wouldn't reccomend you getting it pierced in the same place, mabe a little lower down, you can get serious facial paralysis if it goes wrong but as i said a little lower down will be ok
yeah it hurts a bit more, but there is no long term damage. and facial paralasis is not even a .0000001% side effect. it will never happen. if you hit a nerve the first time it would already have been splice a a repiercing wouldn't affect the outcome. initial piercing could possibly have that side effect, but not with the piercing you are talking about, and not many piercing normally done but the vast public, so i wouldn't worry about that.
there are nerves all over the whole body. you'll hit a nerve no matter what you pierce. there are a couple thousand nerve endings in the tongue, if you damage a few, you wont notice. you need to do some serious damage to a decent amount of nerves to have significant damage. like a large 3rd degree burn will leave some numbness where the scar is. and if you damage your spinal cord obviously haha. but piercings do not cause paralysis. if tongue splitting does not result in any residual damage, a piercing wont. like mr inferno said, .0000000001% chance. but while youre playing those odds, you can count on getting stuck by lightening, winning the lottery, and solving world hunger all in the same instance.
novocaine pwns u the paralysis stories are utter crap.. ive heard it very often about eyebrow piercings but its utter crap.
i did not mean to pwn anybody. no disrespect at all. i just wanted to clear it up, it is a common rumor.
haha, its not ignorance dude. it IS a weird thing to say. pwn3d or pwned or pwn is like owned or own. just some how along the way the typo came to be the way people spell it.
i think u need to go and let someone do it for u like a professionale, hmm i've never heard of someone having a scar from when they had there tongue pierced. i have mine done and it would be wise to let a professional do it cuz u could hit a wrong part in ur tongue..
