which do you think is safer?
what are the main differneces between the two such as what they actually are and the highs felt from them?
i know someone who has nvr done any type of opiate but can get 60mgs of methadone for only 10$ how much should they do 15? i want this person to be ok but still have fun i heard that is actually harder to quit than herion but the high is not as good is this true?
thank you alot for replies soon though

methadone is much safer, are you kidding?

methadone is used to help heroin addicts through the withdrawl process. methadone is used orally thus it's not AS addictive or rewarding as riding the H-Train. all in all, it's much better to be hooked on methadone than on heroin. MUCH better.

naloxone will precipitate opiate (heroin) withdrawl and is the antidote. there's something called RAAD where addicts are anesthetized and are given high doses of naloxone for a few days while they are unconscious. that way the heroin addict doesn't have to suffer through the horrible, horrible withdrawl symptoms associated with opiate abuse. the withdrawl really IS hell; the symptoms include irritability, anxiety, fear, panic, runny nose, hypotension, chills, gooseflesh, spontaneous ejaculation, etc.

i don't do methadone or heroin so i can't help you pick the proper dose. the best dose with these opiates may just be zero.

Methadone has much harder, longer withdrawls from what i've heard. I have no idea what the high is like though.

longer withdrawls are, by definition, less severe. the heroin withdrawl is pure hell and is far worse than the lengthier--but somewhat easier--withdrawl from methadone.

opiate withdrawl in general can last for many weeks. that's reflective of the fact that opiates are so evil in their addiction. rats will self-administer opiates up to the brink of death.

it only took me 2 weeks and an ounce of pot to kick that horse. pot really helps with the cold sweats and holding down electrolytes. still hurts to kick though, but i guess the other option hurts alot more

Methadone is best and has the same effect ass heroine IF you take a barbituate with it. Pop a valium or a xanax with it and its all good. Alone I always had to take about 80-100 mgs of methadone to feel good...but i got a weird tolarence

I would suspect that methadone is more dangerous, but only because it's legal. I have done methadone once and have never done heroin, but the methadone high that I had was shitty; probably because I drank a 5th of Hpnotiq and about a quart of Captain Morgan's Rum with it. I ended up puking black stuff and passing out.

Anyway, I would say that heroin is safer, if for no other reason than the fact that methadone is legal.

You were proberly better off Bro. You would really love Methadone.
I was living with someone who had a bunch last summer and I did it everyday till it ran out and LOVED IT!
It is actually the best pain med on the market too.
I'm saving it for my old age.
It's just a pain the shit you have to go thru to get it on any program.

I am sure I will try it again, without the liquor, of course. I know that was the only reason I didn't enjoy myself.

Methadone is not safer than skag. It is way more addictive also. It is used as maintance for heroin attacks, which means if you a h addict, you have a very high tolerance, methadone is very strong. Do not ever mix benzo's (xanax, valium) with methadone and especially h. So my brother od on h after mixing with benzo's, so i wouldn't do it with methadone either. The methadone buzz is quit intense, and for me, when i was using it recreationally, before i used it at a failed attempt at maintance for heroin and other extremely strong opiate addiction, sometimes the buzz was quite pleasurably and enjoyable, others it was less enjoyable. 15mgs is plenty for a first timer.
and to the person who said methadone withdrawal was longer so less severe, obviously has never detoxed of methadone, much longer, more severe, and worse in everyway imaginable than heroin withdrawal. Not even close. For me, methadone was worse than the heroin habit. I was depressed(much more worse than when i was addicted to heroin), my digestive system shut down, i couldn't get a hard on to bang my girl, i had crazy thoughts, methadone maintance(state sponsored addiction) was way worse than the cure.
by the way, I have been clean off all opiates for over 5 years now

AFAIK It goes in the same receptors that heroin does and lasts a really long time. When on methadone you can't really get high on heroin because the receptors are already clogged with methadone.

Methadone is harder to get off of than Herion cause Methadone stays in ur bones. Addicts say herion takes a few weeks to get off of where methadone takes month/s. As far as first time doses, start with 2.5 mgs or 5mgs, no more than 10mgs. 2.5 is fun, 5 is nice and 10 will mess u up. Dont be a hero and do more, ull be trowing up for 2 days or so, noding off and watnot, not fun at all. remember u can always take more after 2 hours or so, just dont be 2 quick to redose as it takes time to hit u and u feel it for a day or 2 if not longer. If ur not an addict to H and have a recent tolerance built up than 5-10mgs is way more than enough.

methadone is definately much safer. its use is to help heroin addicts with withdrawal so the answer is rather obvious.
