I spent the 60's and 70's in Detroit, home of the Grande Ballroom and one of he most crazy-ass, git-down, appreciative rock and roll audiences there were. I still have never again witnessed the absolute frenzy that the MC5 could whip the audience into - almost unearthly energy. I've recently been in touch with Brother Wayne Kramer an Pun Plamondon and it brought back a flood of memories of nights at the Grande, and life around the WSU campus area. Anyone else here from that time and place?
kinda sorta...I grew up in Pontiac in the 70s and 80s, and remember shows being at Cobo Hall, but my generation had arena rock so it was off to the Silverdome for the likes of me, lol!
