I only wish I had taken a photo, but I was focused on the sunrise when I saw this. I've shared my pictures of my December 25th sunrise. I was taking pictures of todays sunrise, when off to me left, a Shooting Star DURING sunrise! That would have made a rare pic! How is this story religeous you ask? I feel that its because I'm being allowed the chance to see such things. VERY rare for this city to see such things. Its gotta be a gift for ME to see such things.
And you will watch a universe born before your eyes. Revelation upon revelation, unheeded, no law nor word may describe this. Truly a gift, but remember, you are not separate from that which you witness. Think about that.
Experiences like this most certainly are "religious" or "spiritual", 25th december or not...moments like this pass peacefully before our eyes every now and then, and the times we notice them really are magical. Miracles and magic happen every day. But usually they are too subtle to be detected as miracles, or we are too used to Life's magic. The times we do see something and realise it is special are like a kind of joyful remembrance. Theyre times when God, or goodness, are clearly evident. Thanks for sharing. Xx
well matt cant be serious. if he was hed see that teh real gift would be to take the photo and then have the film overexpose or something
i've seen the city of lost wages and i know exactly what you mean (i had a girlfriend once who grew up there). i would have to aggree that i too think you were especialy blessed to have had the good fortune of seeing that. you probably need to get out on the desert more where you can REALLY see the night sky and sing with the coyotes =^^= .../\...
I think you saw something unusual (or to some people, unexplainable) at sunrise. Mmhm. How many others saw it? Maybe you were meant to see it... but then again, it's just a "shooting star." Just my opinion.
It would have been easier for me to decide whether I feel it was a gift for you if it had happened Dec. 25th, since gifts are often received on that morning. Did the date it happened have any significance? Even if not, I can accept that it was a gift for you. I, too, am blessed with many such gifts. One example, I awoke one morning in my tent in Siskiyou Park, near MT. Shasta, and looked out the rear window at the glorious sunny day. Not more than ten feet away, nibbling on leaves, bathed in sunlight, stood a fawn. That was just too cool.
Revel in the boundless beauty of nature, that is wonderful and a great way to soothe the jangled mind. But greater still it is to revel in that within you, whose reflection alone is in all things beautiful.
Thats awesome Matt... I would consider it very spiritual. On Halloween ... at night time of course, me and 2 girls were riding down the high way and a huge shotting star shot across the sky, and only me and the girl that was driving saw it, but we both yelled OMG at the same time. It was amazing. But seeing one at sunrise... now thats a treat.
