    Hello Ladies,

At the moment I'm sewing up two cushions for our 10-foot long windowseat for my mom. I'm doing a traditional box seat, 4-inch foam, piping around the edges, & hidden zippers in the back.

It will look a little like this, but tighter & thicker::

Its going well, but I'm nervous because the materials were very expensive & I don't want to mess it up. I've been told that professionals charge around $1000 to make this kind of cushion.

Have any of you done anything similar? Does anyone have advice for me? Things I need to be aware of? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    xoxo

I don't have any advise, but I do have a question. Why the hell does it cost so much?

If I had read your reply earlier, I would have said I have no frickin clue why it costs so much.

But now that I'm a few days into, I'm gonna have to say...because its a fucking pain in the ass. Its so much more complicated than I originally thought it would be...ugh...
