So me and my mom have been going through tattoo ideas since my 18th b-day is a few months off. She really wants me to think about it and go into it knowing what I want and why I want it, and she may consider letting me get it early. I'd love to get it on my low back because I have those cute back dimples, but I don't want to get a stereotypical low back tattoo. Plus, being Greek, I have a lot of hair so I'm kind of worried about how it would turn out after shaved, lol. I was thinking the back of my neck because I have long hair and that would be a good spot because I've heard it doesn't hurt that much, but I have a long hair line and I've heard it can heard once it starts getting on your spine. I'm not afraid of pain, but I just want to know what I'm in for. I'm thinking about a design with stars and maybe a little tribal work. Maybe 2" by 2" or slightly bigger. Does anyone have any recomendations or experience with these locations or star type tattoos? I found some cool pictures, but I really think one of my friends is going to design it for me. Any help would be great.
well i agree dont get the low back done ruins one of the sexiest parts on a female , you should get something on the back of your neck so you can show it off when in the mood my babies mom has love there in purple with cool writing just and idea
I love the 2nd pic, I think it would look really cute on the back of your neck. I have my hubbys name on mine and of the 6 tattoos I have, it was the least painful.
You mean Yo' baby's mama??? LOL**~ just playin"~** Back to the OP, I agree...DON'T get a lower back tat.... I think it looks yucky (no offense to lower back tat girls) jmo~
Back tattoos are no more trendy than arm tattoos. EVERYone gets them on their arms right? i think its silly to think of any location as "trendy", now i have seen some trendy tattoos in that spot, but the spot itself isnt the trendy part. YBH, respect your opinion, but, come one, dont tell me this looks yucky.
I really like the first one, it's a bit more unique.. I find just the stars to be a little boring to be completley honest, I love it when they have details inside as well. As for lower backs, well, I have one on my lower back and I LOVE it, I think it's a great spot especially for those of us with a little pudge on the back - the lower back doesn't stretch much at all with weight gain or loss, while parts of the upper back can especially around the bra area. Mmmm, tattoos
I have a peace sign on the back of my neck...it didn't hurt at all...one of the least painful ones I've had done... Lowerback looks good on some people...but not on very many people. Good luck!
yeah the second one would look the best on the back of your neck. i acually am thinking about one for the back of my neck well.... i needed some place that you couldnt notice unless i wanted you to see it. Its a great spot! peace&love kaytee
has any one got a tatoo on their breasts....is it painfull???...my girlfriend wants one ....i sugested breasts but...i think it could be pain full
ý dont like tatto but last years one ý make holiday tatto 2 week later just the little color have later all finish
my fiance has her chest tattooed and she said it compared to giving birth, but she's tough so she say it out and it looks awesome. and the back of the neck is less painful than a lot of spots but its different for everyone. personally i would take form those designs and make your own, but the first one seems to suit you the best. i know someone who has a tattoo almost exactly like the second pic you have up there and i don't think it's something worth paying for if it's not your own. but keep thinking baout it. don't take anything you hear for fact, just listen to suggestions.
hehehe I did say that... ok let me clarify why I compared it to birth for those of you who havent been through it... When I was getting my chest tattooed the initial pain was a shock but bearable... certain times it would peak but be over in a second. Now, as he got to my chest bones and my collar bones the pain stayed steady and intense for minutes. It washed over you... I'm not saying don't get one on your chest, it was an amazing experiance and I'm happy with it. You just need to be prepared and realize its close to your bones. Keep that in mind when thinking where you'll get your tattoo... are your bones close to the surface there? Depending on that you can figure out if you'll be fine, in minimal pain or just going to grit your teeth and bear it. I'll be going back after I have the baby to get my reds touched up though, it didn't stay well in my body. The back of my neck was nice, hardly any pain whatsoever. If your getting a first tattoo it would be an easy one to handle pain wise so in the future you can decide how well you could tolerate a tattoo elsewhere.
The butt and breast are supposedly the least painful place on a woman--the closer to the nipple the less it hurts. Lower back tattoos can be pretty uncomfortable--there's alot of nerve endings there. PICK YOUR ARTIST WITH CARE!!!! Ask them what they have you sitting in!!! In my studio one of the artists has women kneeling in an old barbers chair---it looks and sounds like torture. Some of us actually use massage chairs for this tattoo location and the client is MUCH more comfortable. Also since you can't see it, your body feels more assualted if it's never felt that sensation before. I would recomend getting a tattoo somewhere else first---ankle, arm, calf. Namaste
