    me too!

lots of songs make me happy like I want to burst. Mostly good ole rock & roll does this. Although I hurt myself a lot during these episodes. During both Rolling Stone's "satisfaction" and "Paint it Black" I was having so much fun I couldn't stop laughing... I fell over laughing and crying and hit my head. oops. Also, scraped my knee during The Who's "Baba O'Reily" and even broke my shower curtain during "Won't Get Fooled Again" ...OoOoOops.. I'm embarassed. :&

Songs that made me cry... well I snuck a tiny radio into school and "Imagine" by John Lennon came on. I started crying in the middle of class and people were looking at me weird... luckily I have a friend who's so good to me and knows me so well she knew what was going on and made up a lie to cover for me. I never get in trouble for my emotions erupting during class anymore, because she conviced them I'm crazy. I probably am...

I also cried during Bob Dylan's "Queen Jane Approximately" off his Highway 61 Revisited album. I highly recommend this album it's great.

very emotional over my Beatles songs, and Who songs in particular... that's all I can think of right now. but music is the most beautiful thing in the world! I LOVE IT!!

    anyways rock on!

There are certain parts of some tunes that make me feel extremely happy, sad, and other things. The most striking example is a part of Third eye Blind- Semi Charmed Life. I was uh, tripping on something when I heard that song once, and when this part came on:

I believe in the sand beneath my toes,
    The beach gives a feeling,
    An earthy feeling,
I believe in the faith that grows,
And the four right chords can make me cry,
When I'm with you I feel like I could die.
And that would be all right,
All right, When the plane came in,
    She said she was crashing,
    The velvet it rips,
    In the city we tripped,
On the urge to feel alive,
But now I'm struggling to survive,
    The days you were wearing,
    That velvet dress,
    You're the priestess,
    must confess,
    Those little red panties,
    They pass the test,
    Slide up around the belly,
    Face down on the mattress,
    One,
    Now you hold me,
    And we're broken.
Still it's all that I want to do.
Feel myself with a head made of the ground,
I'm scared but I'm not coming down.
And I won't run for my life,
She's got her jaws just locked now in smile
    but nothing is all right,
All right, I want something else,
    To get me through this,

I got so happy all of a sudden, I felt like I ws floating, and it was great. Now everytime I hear it, I get that feeling. It really pisses me off that that part is usually cut out on the radio.

For sure, music is one of the great things that life has to offer. I wish people had a better understanding (is that the word I'm looking for) of it.

Hahaha! How in the world did you *hurt* yourself in these situations? Can I assume you were flailing and dancing during "Satisfaction" and "Paint it Black" and jumping (or some odd movement) during Roger Daltrey's scream in "Won't Get Fooled Again"? ;) But seriously... how did you explain the broken shower curtain to your parents?

Oh, and on topic, this certain part from the song "Dolly Rocker" by Syd Barrett has always gotten me:

    You want to meet Pearl?
    She's as cute as a squirrel's nut.

    I always smile at that...

Listened to Ray Charles' "America the Beautiful" a bunch of times right after he died. Made me cry deeply. What a loss.

your assumptions would be mostly correct. there really is no word to descirbe the movements going on in my body. It's actually intensely fun! Luckily, my stepdad asked no questions about the shower curtain... I can only guess he saw me having fun and didn't want to say anything to burst my bubble [IMG] oops. I'm a dork at times... but really, try it. Get some music you really REALLY love (I'm assuming you're a big Syd Barrett fan [IMG] ) and just totally freak out. It's the most fun thing in all of the world! WOO HOO! PARTY OVER HERE!! hahaha.

anyways, I'm feeling incredibly happy right now because the Yardbirds (pre-Jimmy Page) is on... WOO HOO! i'll try not to hurt anything.

hahaha. have fun. Enjoy sweet music it is the best feeling [IMG]

    ~~smile on~~~

I dont know why, but I always feel like exploding if I dont dance to 'Fantasy' by Earth Wind and Fire. Same goes with 'September', but not as much.

Hehe, you kill me. I'm sure you're not THAT dorky... you just like good music and it makes you happy... err, VERY happy. [IMG]

I'll have to try that, although I don't consider much of Syd's work to be music I could dance to... I mean, I'm a huge fan, but I don't think I can dance to it. [IMG]

Hey, I love the Yardbirds! (Especially with Jeff Beck) The album Roger the Engineer is really great. I love Keith Relf's voice too. [IMG] Oh, and yes, please do be careful... we don't want you getting hurt.

Yes, you are absolutely right. [IMG]

hahaha.... yep I'd agree! oh, except for the me being a dork... but I apprechiate it anyways :)

thanks :) Yes I definetly love Keith Relf's voice, and Beck is my favorite Yardbird guitarist. Clapton second. I love me my Jimmy Page, but he is better with Zeppelin in my opionion. I think it is way cool how Relf died... I mean, not that I wanted him to die, but if you have to go, it's certainly cool to go out playing your guitar! I dunno, I find it rather beautiful, but then again I'm insane, but oh well. I'll have to find some music to put on, I'm sure I can find some around here somewhere.

And hey, don't be surprised if a few years from now, as the sun is going down, you hear a sound outside your door, that'll be me and my guitar :)

    until then... enjoy!

    ~peace~
