i feel the brain cells dying

i don't actually watch tv much, but i keep the tv on pretty much all day, for background noise i guess. we don't have cable, so daytime tv is either soap operas or talk shows. so i've been watching/listening to jerry springer and maury povich a lot lately. i can feel my i.q. falling a few points every time i do, lol.

i have made a few observations, though.

paternity testing is apparently big business, since it seems that there are no shortage of young women who slept with 10ish people at the same time, and then got pregnant. i don't honestly even know 10 non family member men, lol. who are these people?

when you are trying to figure out who the father of your child is, it is perfectly ok to overlook the obvious...so you are a white lady with an obviously biracial child....why not test a white guy? anything's possible, right?

people will do anything for mardi gras beads, show their boobs, butt, pole dance, anything. it doesn't matter how old, saggy, overwieght, underwieght, or all around ugly they are.

if you decide that you don't like your spouse anymore, it is perfectly acceptable to date their mother, brother, sister, cousin. extra points if you manage to leave your husband, and then start sleeping with his sister.

 

you should invest in a radio

 

lol, we have one, although we don't seem to get great reception, here in the apartment. i have a couple of hundred old records, that i just got a couple of months ago, that i still haven't listened to much. it just never occurs to me to put them on...

 

hahaha, this cracked me up. yes, these things do appear true during day time tv.

(btw, you ask where these people are.... most of them are hanging out in a trailor park)
