I love that book! It's part of a series, but the other books are very different from Ender's game, but not bad. Also, the Seventh Son series by him is good. BTW, it's Orson Scott Card, not Olson ;-)
Yeah sorry i noticed i typed the name wrong after i posted it lol i can't change it, can i? well yeah its a great book!
I read the book several years ago. I was very impressed with the writting, I thought it was a work of near genius. But I must have been wrong, because after several years I can't remember a thing about the story, and that never happens with true genius. BTW Amy, if your logged on you'll see an 'edit' next to the 'quote' at the bottom right hand side of your posts. Hit edit and you can re-write anything you want.
That was my favorite book of all time! I love it--I didn't even like Sci-fi till I read that, now Sci-fi is all I read. What a great book... definitley recommended reading. And m6m, read it again, man. it rules.
Ive read that badass book so many times. lol, im just about due for another reading of it. I discussed it with a book club at my school but it isnt really a good book for that kind of action. Though its great, read Enders Shadow when your done with Enders Game. That is the parallel novel narrarated by the character "Bean"
awesome book, though i thought the series became increasingly pedantic...but OSC is just so damned good.
I am a huge fan of Orson Scott Card. The first one of his novels that I read was Speaker for the Dead, which was a gift from a friend who knew the kind of books I liked to read. From there I went on to collect the whole series and the Shadow series too, all of which are excellent. The stories really get to me, I have shed countless tears over Speaker and Xenocide, for instance. The Alvin Maker Saga I found harder to get into, possibly because of the type of language OSC uses in these books. I also found Alvin's character very frustrating at times. Having said that, still an enjoyable read and well worth checking out if you can get past the very conversational language of the books. I hope he will continue to write interesting and intriguing novels.
Yeh Card is damn fine writer, just re-reading alvin maker again now BTW.. ender is comming to the big screen http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0400403/ Occam
I am a HUGE fan of the Ender series. I about creamed myself when I saw that link, Occam! That's the best news I've gotten in a month! *squeals with excitement*
siimon palsy LOL...glad to hear it... felt the same way...enders game movie? DAMMM COOOL And your 'squeals with exitement' was a great ironic laugh You see...occam is the nic used on forums like this PIGLET is the nic used in online games... And piglet always 'SQUEALS' when he enters a game. Occam
Hellopeople Then dont read it... Who is forcing u? If you dont understand. Dont say the lesson is flawed Occam
ENDER MOVIE!?!??!! holy crap....how had i NOT heard about this. i've only read the first two books, but LOVED them.
i found this really old book called "Treason" by OSC in the library, it was one of the first books he wrote but it is hard to find because it had a different publisher, It was so unique and exciting, if you are able to find this old out of print book, i definetley reccomend it
i read this book last year. i thought that is was awesome. i didnt really enjoy the sest of the series as much though.
