*squish* fleeaasssyy if i was to send you some wooll and some money for your time would you make me ooone.. my very own fleassyful tamiad!
hehehe of course i would my sweet I made another pixie hat almost identicle to replace the one i lost hehe
Both hats are really cool, although I am partial to the pixie hat. Your doing awesome for having only just learned to crochet. I have tried to learn twice now and just can't get the hang of it. lol... good work.
cassie i didnt use a pattern for the hat. I never use patterns for hats but its quite simple. do a small ring of chains and then do the cats bum thing where you double stitch all the way around. Then just very slowly work your way out increasing the amount of stitches depending on how long you want the point to be The flower is super easy. Chain 8 Cats bum hole thing so you have 17 stitches (i hope you understand what i mean when i say cats bum hole ) Then chain 8 and slip stitch it three stitches along, chain 8 and again miss 2 stitches and slip stitch it on. This makes the petals Then for second row of petals you can chain 8 again or chain 10 and attatch it behind the first lot. i do 3 rows.
hehe yea i couldnt find words to descrive it to my friend when i was asking her how to do it and cats bum was all i could come up with
Hahahaha! Cat's bum! Yeah, I get your 'drift'. LOL! Thanks Fleassy. I pretty much never use patterns either and if I try I always end up changing it around anyways. It is nice to have a general guideline to follow when you're trying something new though. I noticed on the tam as well as the pixie hat you have little spaces on a row - how'd you do that? It looks to me like you double crocheted into one stitch 3x then skipped two. Is that correct? Is it basically an eyelet hole with really fat yarn?
im not sure what an eyelet hole is but i do a tripple stitch (i think thats what its called its longer than the double one) and put three into one stitch, skip two but do a chain stitch of two in between the lasat and nextg stitch. if that makes sence
Gotcha! Thanks Fleassy Here we call them triple crochet but I think in the UK you refer to them as stitches. Some of the terminoligy is a little different.
