    Whey Protein (proteinfactory.com)
    Water or milk

    Blend in blender.

    Consume.

Well, hold up! Are you trying to loose weight or bulk up? If you want to loose weight, get SOY protein powder. If you want to bulk up, use WHEY protein powder.

I am loosing weight, and I use SOY, bought 32 oz for only 10.99 at Trader Joe's.

Yell why does the different protein type matter in whether you're trying to lose or bulk? Recently when comparing pure whey and pure soy side by side, I noticed that both had about the same calories and amount of protein per serving, so why would it matter? Just curious as I've never heard of this before.

As for a post-workout protein shake, I cut up and freeze an orange, an apple, a banana, and some pineapple then toss it in the blender with a scoop of pure unflavored soy powder, cinnamon, & ice water. It tastes great and since you freeze the fruit, no ice is required for it to get nice and thick and creamy. My favorite!

I have been having this particular shake every morning (give or take a few) for the past three weeks and have already lost 8 lbs and I feel SO healthy and energized:

    1 banana
    1/2 cup pro biotic yogurt
    1/2 cup soy milk
    Scoop of soy protein powder
    2 tbs flax seed oil
    1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Water, depending on how thick it is.

Its quite high in calories because of the flax seed oil and protein powder, but you don't feel hungry for a long time after eating it and the calories are certainly not empty.

I read the initial article in SHAPE magazine that stated which protein powders were better for which workout. I don't have the issue, and a search of their website doesn't come up with said article. It said WHEY is better for building muscle mass and gaining weight while soy was better for people trying to loose weight.

I also FEEL a difference when using the soy. I used whey before and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Using the soy, I am much more energized in my workout. I get more from my workout. I burn more calories in my workout. I would recommend soy over whey for weightloss anyday.
