I walked out of the house today in a three tiered calf length floral dress and since I didn't have any clean pants to put under it, I put a pair of thigh-high rainbow striped socks on to keep my legs warm...

My sister made fun of me and called me a clown when I was walking out the door. She's 15 and one of her friends was over, so she took the opportunity to make fun of me for how I dress. I've learned to ignore it, but it just made me realize how much her and I are COMPLETELY different. She likes sports, I don't. I was good in school, she isn't. I'm quirky and loud, she's quieter and "normal". She likes mainstream music, I don't.

Sometimes I think I might have been picked up on the side of the road or something.

What are your siblings like? Are you like them? Or not?

I'm not at all like my siblings...
    I exist :p

I'm not like most of my blood family taht's of the same generation as me. They're, well, to put it nicely white trash. I have one cousin (step cousin by common law now divorced, lol, but I call her my cousin) who I'm quite a bit like though, and I spent a lot of time with her while growing up which is good. She's just... a little more vain than me, revels in attention much more than I do (helps that she's incredibly gorgeous), and a lot more bullheaded/stubborn than I am

    biologically i'm an only child

but my aunt (biological fathers sister) and uncle adopted me when i was really small
they had 3 boys.. who i consider my brothers
my biological father married another woman and had a son
and my mother (biological aunt) is adopting my cousin (my biological aunt and biological fathers younger sisters son)

    confused yet?
so i have 5 brothers, no sisters. unless you count my 3 sister-in-laws.

my oldest brother who is 35 is the strong silent type until you get him around a small child.. then he's a pile of mush.

my two brothers born in april, 32 and 26, my mom calls the "evil twins" they are 6 years, 6 days, 6 hours apart.. they now work and live together.. like conjoined twins.. ahaha

my biological half brother, 25, is the biggest goofball i have ever known. can't type for shit and i talk to him daily online.

my youngest brother is just 13.. ugh.. somedays i'd like to smother him with a pillow in his sleep.

Must be all teenagers then...because sometimes I feel that way about my 15 year old sister.

I also have a 31 year old half brother...he's a complete idiot and comes to me for advice and money.

    LOL yeah.

praise whatever god or gods there are i've never had any. though i did when i was little wish i had a younger sister and that it was legal to ... well i won't go into that. so perhapse on that count as well it is fortunate i did not. and doubly thank them i didn't have any older ones. having parents was bad enough.

Siblings! I have a 16 year old sister with cerebral palsy and she is the sweetest person I have ever met in my entire life. She loves me so much and I'm so lucky for that. I think she is on the level mentally of a 5-12 year old. She loves pop stars and tv and babies.
I have a brother who's 14, loves sports, is a cute nice kid but totally opposite from me. And then a baby sister, 4, who is cute and sweet and bratty and mean. :)!

sounds like a normal angsty totally concerned with appearance 15 yr old. im sure she'll grow out of that, or she'll stay forever immature perhaps. Showing off infront of her friend at your expense only exposes her own self-consciousness and doubts about herself.

I'm not like my sister at all. Shes artsy, im sciency. Shes an off the wall self-centred drama queen. I rarely get that emotional about anything. Im tall, shes short. Shes plump and im thin. Lookswise we are opposites, brown eyes, blue eyes etc.

The only thing we do share is some of our humour and wackiness. We have both been labelled as weirdos and freaks, growing up together we always understood each others weirdness. And that can be comforting sometimes. We don't care if other people are laughing at us. But being 4 years apart we've never been really close, and if we spend too much time around each other we fight like feral cats.

My little sister is 18 years old so we're 9 years apart, but she and I are super close. She tends to idolize me (*blushes*), says that she hopes she can be the wife and mother that I am if she ever gets married and has children someday. I think it's sweet. Many times, if I like something, then she'll end up liking it too. So if I were to wear something off the wall, she wouldn't say a word, even if she didn't like it, but usually she likes what I wear so it's all good. [IMG]

Anyway, I love that girl, I really do. Sometimes I'm more like a mama to her than our own mother, but I try and tell myself to step back and be her friend as well. It's hard though because at times I'll catch myself being a "mother" with her and wanting to smack myself. *lol*

hmm, well my sister is 19. were pretty close. 1 thing we hve in common is sports, we've always did sports.

she rushes to decisions, quiet, shy - but she does stand up for herself all the time, no matter who says anything to her.

i, on the other hand, i don't rush any thing, i take my time thinking through problems and i try to figure things out.

theres subtle differences between us, but for the most part, were really not that different.

We're all long drinks of water fading to gray.

Sis, 2yrs younger, Thinks in shades of gray (abstract), works w/numbers, into square dancing.

Bro, 4yrs younger, Thinks in black n white (absolutes) like myself, cuts on Folks, into computers, idolizes Zappa.

Neither smoke, both drink - the opp of myself.

    Yeah......One can tell we're related Bodies/Souls.....eclectically eccentric...

My sister is completely different from me. She's older and ALWAYS made fun of me and the way I dress.
    I got called
    -horse teeth
-****** lips (yes, she is really classy)
    -big foot

I grew up thinking I was really ugly...

If I had those socks I would wear them, Annie, and my sister would probably call me a clown too....;)

My brothers are quite a bit younger than us...they never made fun of me :D

My next-to-me brother and I are the "middle children" and we laugh our asses off when we are together...I love him to pieces. His wife can always tell when he is talking to me on the phone (as opposed to someone else) because we are always laughing...

The "baby" just turned 20, he is quiet like I was...a nice guy and we get along well. I do wish we were closer, so that when he has problems he would call me.

    BTW...the ages right now are 36, 32, 24, 20. A bit of a spread....:D

well...one of my brothers is a single lad living in San Francisco....another is a LGCD....(little girl cross dresser) (and a damned cute one too, btw!!!) these are my blood brothers that I found at age 25. I was given up for adoption at birth. I also have a brother who is a cool kind of yuppie....don't know him real well anymore....and a sis that is a strong, driven, professional person. I admire her drive and strength, but sadly enough I don't know her well enough either. I'm kind of the black sheep in the family; well not that I'm bad or have been in any kind of trouble; but my family is pretty much living by the worlds standards of what it means to be sucessful, and I know they consider me the bumpkin in the flock. thats OK:) my Mama loves me anyways, lol!

My brother and I are very similar in a lot ways, different in others. Sometimes we clash, but most of the time we get along quite well. We like the same music and spend a lot of time going to shows together, so that's a lot of fun. I really couldn't ask for a better older brother - he's helped me out a lot throughout my life
