    It's my favourite book, ever.
I definitely prefer the French one, but the English version is pretty much as good. And oh, I just love it so much.

    Who else?

I read it for the first time just recently! It was an online version hehe.

This is truely an amazing book though, I want to get a copy of it. I think everyone should read it, not just kids! I wish I had been introduced to it as a child.

It's the most precious story ever...
Here's the online version if anyone is interested:

YAY:) I'm glad there's a little prince thread...

Ive had the French one for years, but have only managed to get a half-decent English translation just recently. I still prefer it in French...English just doesnt capture some of the messages as well.

But its a truly beautiful story, and think everyone could benefit from reading it a few times.

    Xx

"The Little Prince" is one of my favorite books as well.
St.Exupery managed to pack an incredible amount of beauty and wisdom into his story.

As far as I know, there are two English translations in the U.S. The first is by Catherine Woods. This is the translation I prefer, but I think it's out of print.

Has anybody read St.Exupery's other books, particular "Flight to Arras" or "Wind, Sand and Stars?"

"Truth is not that which is demonstrale but that which is ineluctable." Wind, Sand and Stars...

ahhh, i absolutely adore that book! the french version, for me, feels like it carries more innocence and art in the words but in any language... the message of the book is the same -- beautiful!

My aunt gave me this book for my birthday once, and I had never heard of it before. I haven't looked at it in a long time, but I remember it being wonderful and beautiful. I might try to find it and read it again, just thinking about it...ahhh, nostalgia. :)

i have read the little prince too many times to count, i'm blown away every time. i give it to every person in my life who's important to me. if they can't see the beauty, if it doesn't change their life, "Then I would never talk to that person about boa constrictors, or primeval forests, or stars. I would bring myself down to his level. I would talk to him about bridge, and golf, and politics, and neckties."

i'm going to get a tattoo of the boa constrictor digesting the elephant. i just have to figure out where.
