the other night i had an awful dream that my boyfriend were talking to his mum about a girl he liked from college and i were knocking on his door and i heard him say 'i really like her' and as soon as he saw me and i heard him i ran off crying.....thats all i can remember i might be scaring myself by thinking hes gonna find someone else when he starts college but it really upset me.
When did it become common to say "I were," and "he were"? I never saw that before. Is that a British thing? Or just some slang fad? I have to admit, it looks kinda dumb, and sounds dumb in my head when I read it. Is something wrong with writing actual proper English? Blue skies, -Jeffrey
I'm no psychic or anything, but it might not necessarily mean that he'll find someone new, it might just mean you'll be paranoid about it in the future perhaps.
