Yes. I am a big fan of Proto-Prog bands, especially the American ones. My favorites are: - Vanilla Fudge - Spirit - The Nice (British I know...) - The Moody Blues (again, British) - Iron Butterfly (IMO is proto-prog) There are many American proto-proggers who only have a few tunes out there but are great bands. I am only 23 (will be 24 in a few days) but my 56 year old father grew up in the late 60s and early 70s, so he has shared a wealth of proto prog and progressive albums (on vinyl) with me through the years. I have subsequently purchased most of them on CD.
