How to de-stink a bong

ok i love my bong lola but she is starting to stink up my room.....how do I clean her out??? like should I use dish soap or something????

 

Go to a head shop and get some cleaner for it,soak and rinse.As example one brand is called purple power.Rubbing alcohol works wonders as well if ya let it soak.

 

I've never tried it.. but a buddy of mine that works at a head shop says that "purple power" is basically engine de-greaser with purple dye in it. Again, I can't testify as to whether this is true or not. But according to him it's a lot cheaper.

I've always just used rubbing alcohol and sea salt. But I guess it depends on how stinky your stink is stinking.

 

its so basd that i have to have on the other side of the room or i cant sleep...like if im eating she cant be near!

rubbing alcohol wont do any damage? or leave any nasty shit?

 

soak it in alchohol.. plain old rubbin alchohol,, then ya can take the nasty an put in a double boiler an boil away the alchohol an ya have a nug of resin..

no waste no fuss..

yer bong will be clean as the day it was new an ya can have a lil res ball to boot..

 

an no if itsa glass peice,, it wont harm it at all..

 

ok so 1) do i pour alcohol in it or put it in a container full of alcohol
2) then do i put the bong in a double boiler or do i empty the liquid in it??

well since lola is a big mama then i would suggest ya plug the bowl hole and just fill her with the alcohol,,,, no it wont hurt her ,,,, just let her soak for a good long while ,,, then empty contents into double boiler iffin yer wantin to boil it down n smoke the rsin n shit up

haha purple power, thats the engine degreaser we use at work...should work well

 

You have to add salt to the alcohol for an abrasive. Put alc and sea salt in, plug up the mouthpiece with the palm of your hand and the bowl w/ a finger, then shake vigorously. Dump, and repeat until clean.

 

250 mls 99% isoprople
150 mls water
1-2 table spoons of salt

it'll peal the stink right off. poor into bong plug holes, shake.

also try emptying the bong water, most of that "bong smell" comes from the water

 

no purple power if you want to get the resin out but but if you want the resin use alcholhal

 

i have never added salt ,, an our shit comes out squeaky clean...

 

Thats great.. Doesnt mean your method is better though. Your method is better if you are trying to smoke the resin like you mentioned. If you dont give a shit about saving the resin, like me, salt makes cleaning way easier.

 

i never said anything about better or worse easier or harder,, fine we dont have any huge pieces,, but there is no work involved at all,, just let the bitch sit an soak,, they come out like brand new after a few hours,, ..

I dont know why you would add salt unless you only had the one peice an were in a hurry or somethin,, an even then im not convinced it would be any faster an i know it wouldnt get it any cleaner than just lettin it sit an soak for a few hours..

 

HEY! Careful with that double boiler stuff. If you use alcohol to boil it on your stove the alcohol is flamable and if your stove is a gas stove you could blow your self up! Please dont kill yourself trying to get a little bit of resin... that would be sad... and then we would have to cry.

Ah thats the difference. I always clean mine in a hurry right before a smoke session.

 

I use either grunge-off or 4-20 cleaner, it works fine... otherwise I use rubbing alchohol, paint thinner, or gasoline to clean it... and always rinse it with water after using a powerful solvent on it.
