I know a few people who have pitbull terriers and pitbull terrier mixes and they are some of the most affectionate dogs ever.

ANY dog can bite or attack...pitbulls and like breeds have a bad name and several stereotypes put against them. There are no bad dogs, only bad owners.

Oh that's right, I forgot... it's not the fault of the owner for failing to train and socialize his dogs, how fucking silly of me...

It's the fault of the city for not taking his animals away and destroying them.

WTF ever happened to personal responsibility?

Where the hell were you people when I was defending Rottweillers a few weeks ago?

Oh wait, you were pissed because I admitted that I personally euthanized nearly 1000 untrained and dangerous pitbulls and pitbull mixes as an employee of the DC Animal Shelter.

    Thanks, fuckers.

Take responsibility for your animals or have them taken away and killed. Like it or not, that's the law.

I had to read that twice before I realized you were talking about the aritical lol. At least I think you were:confused: .

I belive that if an owner dosen't train/sociliaze his dog and It has to be put down he should be punished for animal curelty

I was speaking about the article AND the people here who are defending pits. I put up with a lot of shit defending Rottys and who stuck up for me? The Rotty owner who asked the question.

But I agree. Viscious dogs should be put down.

Well, I will defend pits as a breed (mainly because people who get a hold of them can cause them to be well, undefendable) We used to raise pit bulls, not for fighting mind you. And We had quite of few that had been fought and quite honestly one of the best dogs we have ever owned was a retired pit that was about to be put down by the owner because he had lost a match. He never once snipped, bit, or jumped on anyone that he could knock down. He would litterly sit down and scoot over to my little sister so he could sit next to her and be petted. I don't think there is a single breed of dog that is inherenintly evil. I've known people whove Owned Rottys that said they were the best dogs they've ever had. My parents used to have a German Dobie that would lay his head over my craddel and watch me sleep. I find it very funny that in a national survey that pitbulls were #4 or so to bite....From the bottom that is... A small dog is more likely to bite then a Pitbull. I know the diffrence between from inbreeding and purpesously rasing mean animals and animals born that just like to fight....A pit isn't a game cock. They don' wake up in the day and go "I'm gonna kick arse today"!

you are absolutely correct. Cocker Spaniels are more likely to bite than pitbulls. And Pit bulls are more likely to be involved in a dog bite resulting in a human fatality than any other breed according to a 20 year survey by the CDC.

Perhaps but lions do not attack humans as frequently as pitbulls. Maybe because there are more pitbulls on earth than lions. And very few lions are kept as housepets.
