You're kidding, right. First you down Alex Grey, then you praise Bob Ross. WTF. I don't know you but I can never ever take anything you say seriously now.
I totally dislike Bob Ross, I just wanted to check people their opinion about his work. Somedude, did I upset you? You must be stupid if you really thought that in my opinion Alex Grey is worse than Bob Ross. There's a difference. Alex Grey which is not my cup of tea, and the fast-food art of Bob Ross. You cant look at them from the same side, since they carry out totally differend opinions. One is Art the other, yes what is BoB actually? I dont know. Did I down Alex Grey? Down? Come on man, its a forum about art, not just about clapping hands and say wow, wow, good! perfect. I carry out what I think, and you tell your thoughts, easy as that to me. Sometimes I over-react on a topic, just to find the reason why someone likes what I dont like.
in my art class we had to do a report on a 20th century artist and paint in the style that they painted. my friend chose bob ross. it was really weird hearing him say things like "heres a happy little tree" when he was painting. it was funny though.
When you say do you like Bob Ross too, the too implies that you like him. Therefore I am not stupid for assuming that you like him. Sorry that your grammar implies something you didn't intend. And I agree that a forum should have more than clapping hands. That is what makes this forum nice, people have their opinions. All I was saying was that it came off strange because you always like the more emotional art, and Bob Ross, while an enjoyable person to watch on tv, has soulless paintings.
OK, let me point out three things: 1. Bob Ross was a douchebag. He coined the phrase "Happy little trees" and we laughed at him in art class... THIRTY YEARS AGO. 2. Bob Ross was a douchebag, He made millions of dollars comvincing talentless old blue-haired ladies that they could learn to paint in oil, and he used his 30 minute show on PBS as an infomercial. 3. Bob Ross is a dead douchebag. He died July 4th 1995. Have a nice day.
I dont know but if don't look from the art point of view the guy is soo chill to watch, it seems like Im listening to a dr.Phil talking about painting (useless advice anyways)
obviously hes not a master painter, but its easy to chill out and watch him paint so calmly knowing that he loves doing what he is doing.
